Tacoroot for 2.18 IS SO FLIPPIN EASY!!!!! I mean it does require you to dl some stuff and follow instructions, but ERMAGHERD!!! Rooted in less than 10 min after dl'ing everything!! Amon Ra installed and everything!! Now i can flash roms again on this thing and have some android fun!!!!

Basically the reason for this post is to instill faith in the folk who wrots the how-to. Its foolproof with the exception of one adb command. Step 13. ditch the "adb shell" part of it as it wont recognize the command and youre golden (at least i was) OCN, you might wanna see whats up there btw (in case you get bored LoL) your instructions say to restart the command prompt, but that wasnt necessary for me, i just took the beginning part out as it didnt seem to recognize that portion... anyways, this is one helluva writeup and worked flawlessly for me :D

so step 13, are you saying that this command:

did not work for you?

what exactly did you enter for that command?

perhaps he means the words "adb shell" as you are already in a shell command?
Just need to type
/data/local/tacoroot.sh --undo

precisely. thats exactly what i did, and it worked like a charm :D

btw, not even remotely a surprise that youre still keepin this forum alive and well Ocn :) just a shame you didnt get the SGS3, we could use yer immense knowledge base and supreme willingness to help over there holmes!! The fact that you dont even rock the OG anymore and yet you still help so many people is truly an inspiration man!! Ant thats not to slight the helpfulness of countless others that rock this forum daily including you stony :)

Thanks man.:) Yeah, I'm glad ocn's over here often to kinda "look over my shoulder" as I try to help out people.
Someday soon (2-3 months), hoping to upgrade myself.:p Thought it would've been done already but no soap.:(
 
I know I'm not over here in the OG section as much as I should be. Glad to hear you guys are keeping it in tip top shape. :D

I always thought tacoroot looked fun. Never had the need to use it though
