Root Esteem devs, themers and OG's to SGS3

No you will not lose your plan. Make sure you activate the phone yourself online so you can see for yourself that your not changing the plan. Metro will change that shit, make up an excuse and then your screwed. Do it online and make sure. ;)

You only get so much data per plan. Yes it's unlimited but data is not unless you got the highest plan.
Even the old plans had data limits but only multimedia was counted towards your usage. Now everything is counted.
 
And i seriously doubt if metro did get the S3, it would be 600 dollars. Rumors get started when people say shit like that. Do don't go throwing out numbers cause no one has a clue.

It will be based on what gets dumbed down on the phone. Remember that this is metro pcs and it's geared towards being a "cost efficient" company and so offering a 600 dollar phone would be backwards. 400 on the other hand, like the esteem, would be plausible but no one knows.

I'm curious as to what it would be called.???

The dyle tv phone they announced back in january it had a droid charge body with similar specs as a esteem however I stand behind the guys that have kept us in the loop and those guys are pretty good there are high end phones coming but we have to see what metro will do we should do a request on their face Facebook Page that seems to get their attention
 
I can say for sure I won't be switching. Even if the S3 is an awesome phone. I and everyone I have every talked to about Samsuck has had a terrible experience with their phones.

I could never bring myself to spend big money on a phone and a company that I don't believe makes a good product. This is just MY OPINION of Samsuck based on personal experience and that of friends and family.

I'm sure their are plenty of people that love their phones and have never had an issue, it's a personal choice and preference.

Wow. I'm surprised to hear that honestly. I understand every company has their products that fail but I personally though Samsung was one of the best at consistently making good products. I'll never own a TV that isn't a Samsung and I've owned several Samsung phones in the past 10 years and I've really had one bad thing to say about them. Once again this is my opinion, just like you had yours but I must say that your opinion really surprises me. Especially considering we currently have an LG, which technically is a company that isn't quite as good as Samsung and doesn't nearly have the reputation. Not saying anything bad about LG, just using as a comparison against Samsung. I love LG and I love my Esteem. LG and Samsung are on the same level IMO. :D
 
maybe its a good thing metro didnt get the sg3...... i would probably start selling myself to fat girls

I'm sure.it will be rooted extremly fast... i would sell my phone so fast.. i.hope it will have the same body at least... i know there will ne soany cases for it
 
Eh to each their own like I said fuzzy. I know that the Optimus M was the first Android and first LG phone I ever owned and I was a little leary of LG myself with them having such a small reputation.

I can honestly say I am NOT disappointed in LG, it's why I bought the Esteem when it came out, on the LG name alone.

I'm waiting on the next big thing from LG that is comprable to the Esteem as far as screen size. I like the feel and size of this phone. To me the Connect is a downgrade as far as "real cell phone feel" if that makes any sense and it's not the end all be all to cell phones like some people make it out to be. But again to each their own and if Connect owners love it and it works for them that's all that matters.

Imo too many people want to get into a pi**ing contest over a cell phone. Cell phones to me are a matter of PERSONAL preference and choice, just like a car really some people like foreign, some domestic.

My neighbor got that phone last night. Loaded speed test on it this am. He was getting .3Mbps while right next to him I was getting 3Mbps... I don't know how that translates to the rest of their network. But that was 9am this morning in North Sacramento, CA...

I was at the T-Mobile store today ... played with the s3 with my work discount I get 21% off my Bill for any wireless provider ... I had the cash almost got it but walked out with shame... metro no contracts and u guys keep me

Metro got a speed boost if my 4g was still 1~2 mbps dl I was going to switch to sprint to get grandfathered in to unlimited 4g when it gets here.
 
I plan on getting the Galaxy S3 at the end of next month, but on T-Mobile. Going to pay the full $629 + tax for the phone and go on their $70 unlimited plan. Comes out to over $300 less than getting it with a 2-year contract. Much faster data speeds and 5GB of 4G is more than I use anyway since I'm almost always on wifi. I also seriously doubt Metro will be getting this phone. This rumor started the same way the rumor of them getting the Galaxy Nexus started.

EDIT: Ran Speedtest.net on my friends T-Mobile Galaxy S3 yesterday and was pulling over 10Mbit down.
 
I'm at 4~6 down on metro someone had the s3 at my work in white with the flip case I had to say she was amazing so was the phone ;)

4-6 in Sacramento? Is that on wifi? Or 4g?

I live in sacramento and get 1-4. Time of day seems to be everything! I am pinging kellin communications in Colorado, with speedtest.net. I live up off of Norwood and 80. The only time I break the low 4Mbps mark is on wifi at the library!

Thanks! Wanting to know what I am missing, besides 2Mbps! Lol

Not WiFi at all that's a slower speed just taken I work in roseville I don't have WiFi I tether. Ill show past results in a few days I deleted my logs
