Root Everyone using DL09 Super Clean 0.4, Please help me out!

I'm running the Adrynalyns Dl09 SuperClean 0.4 and absolutely love it. Performance is amazing. It's snappier now than it has ever been. I lost haptic feedback but got it back after pushing the "fix" through Odin. (Modem file). Also just flashed Sonofskywalkers Dl09 Blackhole theme. Now my fascinate is exactly where I want it. Quick, sexy, and gets the jobs done. GPS takes like 2 secs to lock in now too btw. Go for it. You won't regret it and its super easy to do. Good luck

My setup now is:

Rooted
- Superclean 0.4 DL09 Rom by Adrynalyn(sp?)
- Haptic feedback Modem/radio file fix
- 1230_Non_voodoo kernel
- Sonofskywalkers DL09 Blackhole 3 series theme

Loving it. :D

Credit to all you great developers for providing these great roms, kernels, and themes for us Android Addicts.

Next you need to bump it up to voodoo to experience the lag fix :p Read, read and read some more BEFORE doing so though!

^^^ He is the reason I have gotten to the level that I am at now with my fascinate :)
nitsuj17 that is....
He knows his stuff. Believe me.

I worked on my phone till 2:30. Had it working then installed BatteryD.zip to get the circular battery percentage meter I used to have running and it borked it all and put the phone in an infinite reboot. So I restored to the last backup I did which was the fresh install. This morning I Used ODIN for the DL09Modem, then did SupahClean, then ThemeFix and then 1230Non Voodoo. Phone is working great now with one major exception. I still can't mount the SDCard unless I reboot the phone. Anyone come up with a fix for that?

adrynalynes newest kernels should fix this (theres a nonvoodo version) Test Kernels From Adrynalyne (updated 1/18 w/ cd rom bug fixes) - xda-developers

What I did was reinstall the drivers, usb debugging on, restarted phone and laptop and it worked for me

Downloading Test5 Normal Voltage now. I hope that fixes it. Doesn't say if I need to wipe the cache. Going to try without doing that as I just spent an hour setting the phone up again with all my apps.

Thanks for the heads up!

If you use appbrain, you can sync and install all your apps over and over again. Makes life so easy. Also if you make a nandroid backup, you won't have to keep resetting up your phone :D

wiping cache between kernels is certainly a best practice :)

you wont need to mess with your apps unless you wipe data....if you are rooted tibu or mybackup pro root are the way to go though...you can backup your apps + app data...well worth the few bucks imo

I used dropbox to get the file down and that fixed it!

Phone seems to be working awesome now. Not touching it again till FroYo or GingerBread are released.

So I'm using Rom Manager Premium. I want to try out a new theme, more specifically, sonofskywalker blackhole. I have already installed Superclean 0.4. Now i have options in Rom manager and I'm not sure which one i want to click or install.

I have gone to "download rom," then sonofskywalker, then there is options such as "Blackhole Build-Your-Own" and another "Modify Existing Rom." I'm assuming i want the latter, but I want to make sure before I screw things up. And I want to make sure, these are just themes right? And can I keep installing all the other options, such as "Desk Clock" and "MMS" or will these all be changed by the main theme installation?

And how hard is it to reverse back these things I have installed?

Sorry, I am completely new to this, and I couldn't find any info on this when searching.

Thank you in advance!

personally i think your best bet at the moment is to stick with superclean and enjoy it :)

this stuff can get overwhelming and reading up on various threads and just wading into it is a safer bet...we've all been new to this before and there is a learning curve...but taking your time won't hurt

Well thank you for the opinion. I think I just might do that.

But I do have a question about the "haptic feedback" fix.

I received the OTA dl09 update, flashed Superclean 0.4, but now it seems my gps isn't working like it did before flashing superclean.

Will the "haptic feedback" fix this or what is haptic feedback? And do I need to install a different kernal in order to do the fix, as stated before, or do I only need to push the modem file through odin?

As always, thanks in advance!

Prudence is always good advice. You can revert back to any change you make as long as you have something to revert back to. So if you dont like a theme if you have another or the stock theme thats fine and all

Haptic feedback is when you touch the screen you feel the vibration. It has nothing to do with GPS. What kernel your on might effect your haptic but likely not your GPS. DL09 has been not nice for some unfortunately

I am running the Supah Clean image and totally loving it. Have noticed one thing missing from this though, you cannot set individual ring tones for contacts in this image. Anyone know how to get back that feature?

Nitsuj17 and _inKredible_ can you tell me what widget you are each using from your screen shots for the Time & Weather?

theyre not mine, but the first one is simiclock, the 2nd beautiful widgets

Thank you, I have switched to simiclock. I like the 1x4 view. Gives me the data I want without taking up a lot of real estate.

I don't think freezing bloatware works any more. I'm pretty sure Titanium "freezes" apps by renaming the file extension. Which I've already tried manually, which didn't work. And I just tried Titanium Pro, and it didn't work either. But thanks for the idea.

It does work, but you have to reboot to get rid of the icons. When you freeze it renames the files, but the cached icons remain visible. After the reboot they go away, works fine on my stock rooted droid.
