Root EVO 4G LTE on Boost

Hey, so I'm really new here and if this question has been solved or if this is in the wrong place, just point me to where I need to go.

I already have a boost mobile account, and my friend has an HTC EVO 4G LTE phone that is already unlocked.

Would I be able to use it on my boost mobile account? and how easy would it be to do so?

Thanks

welcome to the AF!!!!!!

moved you to the evo 4g lte root forum.

i can't help too much in the way of flashing the phone to a different carrier. the only thing we do have is the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/460035-evo-4g-boost-mobile-guide-evo-3d.html. now this was meant for the og evo and the evo 3d, but you can use it as a guide.

as long as the esn is good then basically you will need a donor phone from boost, switch the esn, and flash the radios. all of this is done thru cdma workshop.

it is not very easy if you have not done it before and finding cdma workshop( a reliable one) that is virus free can be difficult.

Hello aquario101! Welcome to the forums!

I haven't read much, if anything, about flashing the LTE to Boost.

Hopefully someone will have some sort of firm info for you in here before we get too much older. :)

edit: speak of the... :)

If you do decide to go for it, be careful. Messing with the radios and the esn can be tricky, and if you don't do it correctly, can end poorly.

CDMA workshop is a paid program last I checked, so if a site is offering it for free be weary. First off you never get a free lunch, like Ocn stated, there's probably some nasties hiding in the code. Second, getting a paid app for free isn't cool. If you need it, pay for it. :)
