Root Evo 4G to Boost Mobile Guide/Evo 3D

Hi All,
I had my phone flashed a year ago and Im going back to boost How can i find my meid number or what info do i have to give to boost to get my phone back on.or can i do it from the boost website to add a handset?htc Evo shift 4g

your meid is there

dont do a hard reset or else your spc code will go back to its original sprint spc code. atleast thats what ive been experiencing with htc phones. Someone correct me if im wrong, just tryin to help.
 
I just realized in qpst everytime i set active user to 0 then write it, once phone restarts i read the phone again to check settings its always back on 1. Is that a problem and if so how do i make it stick to 0?
 
Thanks, got it, now can i add this to my boost account online or do i need to call boost cause online its not recognizing the meid number
 
are u putting the 268xxxxxxxxxxxx numbers in? those are the numbers u need for boost and when they give you your msl numbers write them down u will need them its a 6 digit code.

Profile 0 is 32 characters or 16 pairs. its alpha numeric.
Profile 1 is 12 and also alpha numeric.

Both use a standard 12 digit only user name.

I also have cdma workshop 3.8.5 but I got it after I had changed my meid could you pm me with how to change it with the new cdma workshop?
 
I followed the guide to the letter, I have voice and txt (no mms) but no data what so ever.. keep getting a popup about my password being incorrect..

I've checked and double checked the secrets and shared on the host phone, anyone have any input?

You could try doing a phone reset and reactivation, If you did the QXDM portion of the guide correct that may work it "should" force boost to re read the password. To do that reset is not the one from the settings menu you need to dial ## something I dont recall it off hand.
 
Do you know whats up with the active user not sticking on 0? My HA and AAA keys are correct for both profiles! Ive tried several prls too. my speeds are .06 mps lol.

##786# then hit the button next to ur home button and select reset. u need ur msl/spc code. Keep in mind when u hard reset it ur spc code will go back to sprints factory spc. so cancel hands free activation and prl update. turn usb debugging back on then ##3424# then rewrite the boost spc code and restart phone, let it activate and cancel the prl update it will fail. wait about a minute and you should have 3g!

I have seen what your describing a few times myself, however in my experience when I saved qpst the profile was still correct.
 
htcjunkie I would suggest turning off the evo and turn on the incognito make sure it has 3g and then going back to QXDM and running the command to get the HA and AAA on the incognito.

Then going back to the evo in qpst and rewrite both the HA and AAA.

The universal user name for both HA and AAA is 736563726574 This and the password needs to be in hex that needs to be checked on the qpst page.

I am not trying to be patronizing I am just trying to cover all the bases I can think of.
 
Hello, I ran into a couple of pots holes along the way during the flashing. I got/stop as far as the NV item writing and could not to do so because the cdma workshop 3.5 was a demo and doesnt allow this option. Can I still use my Sanyo Incog in the meantime until I get things up and running? I'm currently without a phone at the moment.

1. Does anyone have a working cdma workshop, I'm not able to unzip/extract files from the one posted? I keep getting a unread on corrupt file.

2. My phone was already flashed once thru someone else but later my account was closed because they used that same donor phone on another account thus causing me to have to buy a new donor phone of my own. Couldn't I just skip a lot of this stuff and just enter in my new donor phone info? If so, where do I start?

My phone still isnt recovering. I'm sending ir to get fixed. Hopefully it'll be fixed.

Now my other evo is having back light ossues. Everything but the backlight works. Does anyone know how to fix it.??
