I never thought meid "swapping" was illegal. I thought only "cloning" was illegal.
Also isnt the copy of cdma workshop attached to this guide illegal? Its a cracked version of software that is aimed towards using paid software for free.
I used cdmaDevTerm - Beta as an alternative for cdma workshop
Id just like to know I havent done anything illegal
 
Help, I know Incognito and Rant are the best donor phones to Flash Evo4G to Boost Mobile, However it seems that those phone is sold out. LOL Do any one have a Full Guide or Direction to Flash my EVO4G to Boost Mobile using Prevail and a Donor Phone. I currently have a Prevail on my account.
 
thank you for this guide its making alot of people abit more happy.Question though after accessing the service programing and entering the spcode and pressing read phone is it?? I went to MIP and there is nothing in that box about my profile just blank that's were im stuck,trying to get the donor's NAI info any and all help is greatly appreciated

Im attempting to do this but I cannot get my donor phone recognized in QPST. Could I possibly grab the MEID and the ESN from the service programming menu and skip the changing the NAM setting step or would it not work? Im using a old freeform as my donor phone(currently the only other phone I have).

i need to fix my sprint hotspot i cannot get it to work i finaly got my htc 3d to boost but my internet works fine except the hotspot....what im doing wrong?

sprint hotspot is a paid service through sprint I think. Boost does not have that.

You can use wifi tether for rooted phones though.
 
which app u recomend ....i dont know if not rooted....but i heard theirs app for non rooted phones which apps?
 
I'm not sure but if your using the numbers from the donor phone to put your other on the network. When they activate that returned phone using the same numbers I'd thing it'd cause an issue. Since the network is going to think it's the donor phone that's running on the network not the phone you transferred the numbers to. I believe they're handset specific.

If anybody knows different I'd like to hear it myself

first a disclaimer: I've Been studying up on this so I can do it for myself, but I haven't actually gone through the process.

It's my understanding that it'll only work on xp. But, if your running Vista or Windows 7, it can been done using an emulator to make the programs needed think they're running on xp.

Not to take anything away from this thread (it's the most comprehensive one I've come across) but over at Howardforums they have multiple threads discussing this.

They label it as being "for educational purposes only" :rolleyes:

As I've posted before this is the most comprehensive thread regarding this process that I've come across. Does anyone have a know where I can find a working Winhex download? I've tried the one in the main guide and few from other websites but none seem to install properly. Maybe its me, either way i could use a some help.

It will work on 32bit version of windows 7home premium. Professional on the other hand seems to have some problems.

As stated above 32bit version home premium works.

winhex does not seem to install like a normal program open the folder and double click the exe and see if it works.

Which method have you been trying?

QXDM memory viewer to write zero's? If so you just have not found all the esn locations.

I would recommend you use the evo 3d method using QPST file explorer to drag out the correct files open them in winhex and change them to 000's then copy them back to the phone.

when i open up qpst where do i find file explorer is that the efs exploreri and i have tryed the the addrees viewer and the cdma way and so fair its still not changen, i had no problem changem the meid to all 000's

yes its the efs explorer, just follow the instructions for the evo3d, also in this guide for that part after putting in the open sesame door directory and rebooting the phone you have access to the nv folder and can drag the 2 files onto the desktop.
There are lots of memory locations and no definite place to look so you would need to have infinite patience as well as luck that is why using cdma ws you scan the memory and open it in winhex and search for the hex string.
But that way is long and difficult as well. That only gives you the locations to look using memory viewer and it may not even find them all. I talked to a guy that did that for 3 days before he found them all.
 
Guys quick question, my lil sister found a phone which was flashed to metropcs. She would like to use the phone with metropcs, my question is will she be able too or did the phone get black listed? please let me know.

Honestly, I'd try to contact the owner of the phone.
If it were my phone, and someone found it, I'd like it to be returned to me:)

Edit: maybe I read that wrong, I was thinking she found a phone....a lost phone.
or did she see a phone she liked and wants to buy it but it is flashed to metorpcs??

when go get to the nv folder theres a no pass sign on it cant get in the folder
