thanks if you remember I was trying to flash my phone before but I got a rumor instead of a incognito because I couldn't find one in the area, that is why I went the way I did with someone else flashing. I didn't have the time to fight with the phone. Orginally I thought if I was able to root I should be able to flashed but it was harder than it appeared. I am going to have to try to contract them again.

ok i repeated the provisions section or post but still no mms i got regular text and talk and i am on the unlimited plan for text/talk/web i installed metrodroid v4 and still nothing, But one thing i did noticed is that when i turn on 4g and try the google market app i just show loading but it seem not to load it just shows the turning circle for ever, Before when i turn 4g on it would say it could not find the sprint server

I've followed this donor thing down and had everything changed perfectly. And followed a guide to provision my phone. However, when dialing *228 or 611 I get nothing MetroPCS related.. Is there something I've done wrong. I've followed ever detail on every guild exactly how they are and yet to get MetroPCS actually working on the phone.

If you cannot get hold of them and everything looks lost then you can try and get hold of a Prevail. Those are getting easier and easier to find. I know how you can use those as donors.
@ NewOptimus: Did you get your phone to do OTA? Any luck on that or have you abandoned that avenue?
Question in general: Does anyone know why we're sending Trackbacks to FlashEvoToBoost | HTC Evo Flashing Made Easy? I mean are they monitoring us and learning from us and using it on their business? I mean they do it for money no question there but are they contributing to the flashing community or are they just leeching off of us?

No This particular phone wont do OTA activation, I tried it several times but for now I have just put it on hold I think I may reflash your way and see if it makes a difference just dont have the time for the phone to have down time atm.

Hi guys, I'm about to cancel my Sprint account and root the evo to boost, the incognito/rant are no longer on sale except on eBay. Which of the newer cheapest phone from Boost I can use as a donor???? I am afraid to get a used one from eBay thinking it might not work.

I got everything working calls, 3g, email, voicemail, etc.
Now the only thing that has been bugging me is the GPS.
I have tried flashing MikG, superwipe everything, then flashed Reloaded also, but no luck on having my GPS to work. I have tried on both ROM's to do the workaround and Qualcomm's drivers found here, but unfortunately the GPS still didn't work.
Maybe some of you guys have some trick you want to share to make the GPS work??

one thing you can do is flash the stock rom turn on gps open maps and if it works then go back to recovery and restore your nandroid backkup gps will continue to work at least that is what I have found.
hello I have been trying to set this phone evo 4g to metropcs for the past month did donor esn change and all up dates rooted and s off and updated the prl. every time i try to call it calls to sprint and the same message your account can not be blah blah blah.when the phone goes to roaming it calls verizon then im total stumped on what is wrong or if there is a hidden file or setting locking it to sprint.also it will conect to sprints internet at 1x speed and drops alot. to my knowledge sprint does not use Verizon towers, metro pos does but why wont it connect to metro at all please help. I think this phone might die soon of a fatal dose of lead poisoning soon if i can get it on metro pcs thanks in advance

Okay so I need some help here... I've searched high and low and I still seem to be missing a MEID number of some kind. When I run the read MEID and read ESN commands in QXDM I get:
RequestNVItemRead Meid
DIAG TX item:
meid = 0x0000000000000000
DIAG RX item:
meid = 0x00A10000XXXXXXXX (X's in place of the last digits of my Evo's MEID)

esn = 0x00000000
DIAG RX item:
esn = 0x00000000
Since the DIAG RX still displays my Evo's MEID, that means I'm still missing one that needs zeroed out, right? But I've used Win Hex to hex search through the readable areas of my phone's memory and it can't find any other instances of my MEID (and yes, I remembered to reverse it before searching).
Any ideas?

sounds to me like you updated the Sprint PRL instead of the MetroPCS PRL.

If your prevail is dead completely then you need to get in touch with Samsung and revive it. The aaa password that is crucial cannot be gotten any other way off the Prevail. If it'll boot up then you can pull the necessary information off it...
Once you have the passwords the prevail can die though.
Just the other day I helped someone flash their phone and after pulling the needed info off the Prevail it was dead. Boot loop at the Samsung screen. Probably cut/pasted the file instead of copy/paste, but the prevail did its deed. No need to revive that one.

the only thing i could think off is you didnt change the meid correctly? did you switch the order
the extras zeros are because you have some leftover spaces in the hex editor, i just filled it in with zeros and it worked
did a zero out and added the numbers in cdma tools. took a look the numbers all show correct just odd so stumped i do thank you for your time with this .ok after 4 hours more and one pack of cigs and 2 pots of coffee found out that for what ever reason when looking under cdmatools under the equipment status the sid/nid are still at 4168 /4 not the 6503 and 65503 what i wrote to it in the evo's menu ##3282# menu and in cdmatools.so im thinking or trying to atleast this might be my problem. I rebuilt my jeep quicker then i have had any luck with this lol thanks again

ok thanks so much got it working so far calls and text and basic internet it was the msid number had to call metro to get it i was using my number which was wrong thanks guys
