EVO availability for sprint employees and advantage club

Most of the people I know got theirs yesterday here in Atlanta....and they're ALL blowing my phone up for me to come show them how to work it lmao. Most of them came from basic phones or palm centros and are completely lost. One told me she's only gotten as far as turning it on.:D

hahahaha... LOL

I just received my order tracking information today. No UPS tracking number yet. Hopefully it will go out today and I will get it for the weekend.
 
Just to fill in some info. I sent an invitation to someone to hop on my SWAC account and he ordered his EVO Monday night.

He received several status updates emails (i.e., 'Order being processed', 'Order Processed', etc.) and finally received the "Order Shipped" email yesterday. Since my friend has been waiting since they announced the EVO and pestering me about it once every two weeks, he paid for the expedited shipping.

It's scheduled to arrive today.....

So the expedited shipping cuts into delivery time by a day... standard shipping shows me tomorrow.
 
So what city/state are the phones shipping from? Just wondering...

Btw, I finally got my order number at 7:30 this morning, but as of yet(2:00), it still says it's being processed.

From my experience of ordering MANY Sprint phones (as a customer AND an employee), they've always shipped from a distribution center in Kentucky.
 
figured this is relevant since we're receiving/have just received a new phone, but coming from a pre... is there a way to save contacts so they don't have to manually done on the Evo (Not all of my gmail/social networking friends have their #/bday/address listed)?

From experiencing ordering a phone through sprint, it takes a while for them to update it. You might wake up tomorrow and the phone will be out for delivery (depending on how close you live to kentucky). That is what happened with the 4G hotspot i ordered a while ago. I am still waiting in anticipation for the phone.
 
Mine should be sitting on my font porch when I get home. Ordered at 9:55pm on Mon night, standard shipping.

I have an interesting dillema. My sponsor (my Fiancee) ordered herself and Evo on Tuesday morning for employee pricing of $150, and it's already here (not yet been activated). She then ordered my Evo on Wednesday morning for $299 plus $100 mail-in rebate to be mailed once the phone arrives. If I take her phone now and activate it on my SWAC line, and she gets mine whenever it comes in and activates it on her employee account will we still get to do the mail-in rebate or will Sprint give us trouble since it was activated on a different phone number? Please help because I really want the phone now! Thanks!

So, is there a place with a good set of beginner instructions? I can go through the forums, and I can read the manual, but does anyone have a link that they recommend for getting started?

Based on my experience, I don't think it matters which line it's activated on. But for your mail-in rebate, as long as the phone you specify the mail-in rebate is for is tied to the phone the SWAC line is for is what will matter. In other words, if you choose to activate the phone your Fiancee originally ordered for herself on the SWAC line, that's the phone that the mail-in rebate must be tied to (the DEC #) and must be active on the SWAC line for at least 30 days before they'll send you that rebate.

When the phone she originally ordered for you arrives later, she can go ahead and activate it on her EWD account.

As I mentioned in my post above, the person on my SWAC account ordered the night the phone was made available. I confirmed his order within 20 minutes of receiving the automatic notification from Sprint (he'd been pestering me for the last 4 months about this phone so i didn't want to make him wait any longer). My SWAC customer was also brand new to Sprint; yet, I received the notification email rather quickly.

I do know that both the EVO and Epic broke all previous records for employee phone purchases (we have been waiting a LONG time to pick up these phones) and that delays are expected since they have to verify each SWAC purchase. I would check with your sponsor to make sure he/she didn't overlook the email notification or at the very least, send an email inquiry.
 
Is the Evo and Epci still sold out for ordering thru iConnect or emailed link?

Can anybody confirm?

(i cant personally goto any of the corporate stores)
 
Thanks Flipper. I'll ask my sponsor to recheck his emails. He is a good friend and knows I've been waiting all these months, but I've been monitoring these forums instead of bugging him about it. SWAC is such a good deal, well worth being patient!
 
At least yours is out for delivery. I have to wait until Monday! But I have it being delivered to my office, so I don't have to sit at work all day think about my lonely Evo sitting by my front door until I get home.
 
My three days are up after the initial order process with no email about shipping information. I am going to have to contact my sponsor now and see what the hold up is. It stinks because now it is Friday, my sponsor doesn't work until Monday, and after they check on my order, it may be next Friday before my Evo could even come.:(

That does suck... are you sure that your sponsor didn't receive any email?
