Root Evo Boot Screen on and off, will not boot

Newbie
My Evo rooted with C7 ROM will no longer boot up. Last night while it was charging I started hearing it vibrate every ten seconds. When I looked at the phone it was going from off screen to the HTC EVO 4G splash screen then off again. I pulled the battery, tried booting to the recovery screen, charging it and I can not get it to fully boot.

Anyone have any ideas or is my my phone bricked?

moved your post over to the rooting section. hopefully we can get you back up and running.

Can you get to recovery? If so I would wipe cache and dalvik and try to boot...
 
I have no idea how to help a non root user except maybe as last resort factory reset in hboot then boot...? Any one have a problem with this?

Have done this multiple times with same results... tied starting with Vol Up+power and rebooting that way and same result, tried recovery from the bootloader screen and got a red triangle... THIS SUCKS!!!!

edit: non rooted
 
Howdy - Im a noob - tried to root my Evo 4g this morning using unrevoked -
after about 3or4 failures, I tried to just boot the phone into the Hboot screen,
but it will not boot . I hold it down for WAY longer than it feels necessary but still nothing.

Did I mess something up ?


-First time attempting Root-
-Didn't work-
-won't boot into Hboot screen
-Help ?

go into phone settings/applications/ and uncheck fastboot. you should now get into hboot. also make sure you have the correct hboot to match with the way you root.
