Help Evo Error outta the blue! (Non-Rooted phone)

Yea.. I have a problem. Today after a full day of working fine I came home and turned my dead EVO on and I saw this screen with a red triangle and an exclamation mark. I'm not rooted. My phone is normal. BUT I did root my phone like last Sept. 2010 so I don't see how my phone could stop working all of a sudden. Any idea's? Please need my phone back.. :\

huh that is indeed strange. well not sure, but since you are not rooted might as well take it to sprint store and let the techs figure that one out.

you are either rooted or you are not. did you ever unroot? did you by chance except an update and the phone was still rooted from last sept?

a hard reset won't quite cut it..I think you may need to run an ruu or a stock image from bootloader

if you power on while holding down the volume button do you see s-on or s-off
if you can get to that menu you should be fine
