Evo or Droid X

Jesus Some people in this thread need a big hug........What Happened to EVO Vs Droid X?

Well Aldo(i believe was)
wanted me to do some comparison with the evo(my old evo i gave my friend) and the X and i did a lot and discovered a lot about both phones

I will say the Evo is nice but i think i have said that about every phone i had even the matel toy Pal Pre.

i don't think an adult that have a family or his own place and other responsible bills would bounce around from phone to phone.

Well then call me lucky cus i have my own house and pay every bill on time. Oh and as the picture above i posted i keep all my phones just for kicks.

Ditto but i didnt keep my phones and ive had 2 different carriers and about 8 different phones in the last 9 months.....

I love how people try to be so judgmental of others just because their not in the position to do the same...

My last phone was the puny Moto Backflip so maybe my love for the EVO is a little unfair seeing where i came from

Gave my sister that phone and that was my first Android Device....Cause i was sitting on the android deprived AT&T Network

okay...

I agree with you partially

i have had a palm pre plus, Eris, Kin 2, Droid, Hero, Evo, Incredible, and now an X

and that probably has cost me right about at a grand...i usually figure a way to get them at 2 year pricing

But we are not talking about an adult with a family or anybody else

we are talking about me and my choices
and trust me...there are plenty of people with wives/husbands and kids who
buy these devices outright for full price and most of these phones are like 500+

Like most people whenever i get a new device, i craigslist to recoup my money
I did the same with my 3GS on craigslist, it was nice.

Also: You've had a lot of badass phones.

i have a good story on that note my 3GS battery blew out and i put it on craigslist as broken(and trust me it was) and i got someone to trade me a fully working Iphone 2G for a bricked broken 3GS.....

Craiglist can sell anything i tell you......:D

Agreed. I got craploads of replies for my White 16GB 3GS. It was gone the day after Evo launch day, which was the earliest I'd sell it.

I have a problem...i shop ALOT
and now that addiction has turned to phones

and with the exception of the kin, i agree with you

they are all badass :)
I thought the Kin was a good idea, just not well executed.

What have you discovered.

I am not going to go in complete detail as of now

but i will say that blur on the X is initially overwhelming but i am discovering things in blur i didn't have in sense(or didnt discover)

small stuff

for instance

3 way calls

I did a three way call with my daddy and mom and there is an option to end last call...I like this...Suppose i need to hang up with someone i couldn't just hang up one call on a sense device...I had to hang up on both

now if someone with a sense device who does know how to do to this please inform me

I thought the Kin was a good idea said:
that's exactly what drew me into the kin devices

the idea was a wonderful idea

Social networking with a phone built in around it...
Unfortunately the hardware was GOD AWFUL

the worse phone i have ever owned and the KIN/Windows OS
was very limited...you still had to rely on the browser to do simple
stuff on facebook
and no apps...no youtube..

Zune was cool tho

Yeah I do like the Zune stuff.

Even on EVO though you have to use the brower to do most things with Facebook, which is lame considering the iPhone Facebook app lets you do most things. I can't even reply to a comment sometimes without the browser.

Friendstream is a bit more useful, but still not perfect. It has nothing for notifications that I know of.

i am dying to see what his lovely response will be...

Far be it from me to keep you waiting too long.

For those playing the home version of our game, I said that the corporations blew it with a grotesque violation of common sense in their respective supply chains.

Prior to this, the thread seems to have digressed to eating pancakes and who admires whom.

Your response contained your opinions - limited to the wonderfulness of the devices if you like, tho I caution that simply reduces the dimensionality of the discussion, something I wasn't expecting of you, but you insist that's what you've done, so that's perfectly OK by me - but the subject at hand was corporate practices.

And then....

I have no idea about JIT and i really could care less. I am a model and working my ass off in college to gain a degree in psychology and pursue FBI or CIA or DIA types of jobs with my degree...

Inventory of a product i am selling or marketing is something i could care less about

My mistake - I stand corrected. You were not actually replying to the point at hand, you were replying tangentially then. OK, I've no problem with that.

Other than to note that that part in particular is in itself no doubt giving others great cause for amusement, as you've since accused me of not responding directly to your actual statements.

again i am trying to find the basis of the majority of your response because from what i read, it is more of an indirect attack(hence "certainly within your rights as a fangirl" remark)

Your ability to indict me for feeling wronged in any way does not make you correct in any way. There is objective proof of this:

I am obsessed with phones not just android

Obsession = fangirl. Your obsessive tendencies are quite clear to a great many.

When a statement of fact is levied, slander has not occurred.

When you find indirect attack where there is none, the weakness is not in the person you've chosen to iconify for externalizing blame.

You'll need to investigate that part further in your psych studies. Shooting the messenger is no answer.

Now, that's more than an appropriate amount of response merited to your demands for attention.

When you do decide to think in terms of corporate skullduggery and the abuse of consumer rights leading to artificially high prices resulting from an artificial supply shortage, I'll be happy to discuss that further.

You've so far said that that sort of thing disinterests you. However, I don't live in the past and I'll be happy to leave the door open to you for that discussion. Besides, I know for a fact that the agencies you name value multidimensional thinking, so I'll be available when you'd like to practice that.

Your alternative would be to perfect tradecraft (look it up). It begins with a subtle picture of French fries and before you know it, you're sporting a Minox. Best luck with staying innocuous, a key part of tradecraft, so you'll have to decide very carefully whether you'd like to pursue that.

Window Mobile Phones..Ewwww....I had my Stint with the BlackJack...Blackjack II....Samsung Epix.....There more concerned with trying to give you features of a computer rather then making it more useful with your daily life......Now their trying the app thing with (Windows Phone 7) but they are far behind....I can hear it now..."The Microsoft App Marketplace with more then 100 apps"...The things the kin did could be done with a Android Widget lol

There's some R Kelly's in here, I really hope some of you are younger than 18 or don't realize she's 17

And I always notice a distinct trend in the threads she's been in, I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees it also.

But thanks to all who've played with the X to add their input.

I'd like to see a comparison between the Droid 2 and Droid X

Android 2.1 (unless Verizon pumps out a last minute 2.2 update to it)
-3.7″ screen
-750MHz OMAP processor
-5MP camera
-No HDMI port
-No front facing camera

Droid 2 Looks like a alternative to people who need a physical keyboard cause it lacks in all other areas compared to the Droid X
