Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

I found a bug...
When I go to phone>menu>speed dial and touch one of the existing speed dial, it Force closes. So I can't change or remove the existing speed dial.

Outgoing works perfectly through handcent, so it appears to be a conflict with the stock app versus something at the service level.

Agreed, its trying to send through the Sprint MMS server. Thing is, I could have sworn the MMs app was using Verizon's UAProfile, so it must be specified elsewhere. Maybe in a provider.

I just tested and speed dial 2 which is *2 did force close.
speed dial 1 (voicemail) worked fine.

and for those running 5.2 here is smooth battery working on it

smooth_evo_sense_edit.zip

Seems to only have the battery icon and none of the other icons from original Smooth Icons zip, needless to say it works and thank you for posting.

And YoJoe600, why do you say that the icons in your thread work with this Evo Rom if the .zip has not been updated? You are talking about the Smooth Sense Icons thread from XDA right? I have tried downloading but I get the hearing aid icon over the battery but the other icons do work. But with this latest zip the battery icon works but none of the others do.

Adrynalyne, after seeing how much work you do on behalf of the unwashed members of the various forums you are on, I bought you a beer. Check PP...
Cheers!

I did notice that when trying to send mms it disconnected from wifi and connected to 3g but it couldn't send. On receive it was trying to do it over wifi.

Regular sms seems to work fine. I did get a soft lock trying to turn on airplane mode at one point but a soft reset fixed it.

Update-8/4/2010
This is installed with clockwork, and does not contain a radio or anything of the sort. Thats something you will need to sort prior.

Hi all! I just got my Droid Incredible this week. Right now I am running stock 2.1, rooted, with clockwork and rom manager installed. I want to try this rom, but I am not 100% sure what it means to aquire a radio before installing this. If someone would kindly point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it.

Also, I have a handful of apps installed right now. What's the best way to back them up before I install this rom? Thanks again!

Maybe flash the zip from xda first and flash this zip over it?

wouldn't changing the APN to verizon's server fix it?

i just tried this and it worked. i changed the APN to use mmsc="http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms" and it worked.

where do you go to change the apn. sorry for the noob question.
i will have to change it back when it is "fixed".

i used "APN Backup and Restore" from the market to backup the apn file to the sd card, then i modified the file and restored it.

and don't sweat asking the questions, i'm more noob than you ;-)

looking at the app i don't see an option to "modify".
how do you modify the apn?

thanks :)

sorry, should have been more clear - i used the app to back it up, then i used file editor to change the file. it get's backed up to the ApnBackupRestore folder on the sd card. you could also open it from there on your pc and edit it too. then just restore it with the app.

Seriously. How can anybody troubleshoot a new ROM after installing all the regurgitated crap off the old one? Just saying, I like to keep it clean and controlled to the best of my ability.

By "back ups" I mean installing apps (no data) with titanium. Last round all apps were installed manually off the market. Guess we'll see if my situation improves.
