Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

Did this but I had to "Clear Data" under Managed Apps for Messaging for it to work.

Thanks!

Yes, I had to do this also, perhaps you should update the first post to include this instruction aswell. For safe measure I cleared the data for Handscent aswell, but not sure if that is actually nessisary. My MMS outgoing is now working, but still have the issue with slides not playing properly.

Which of the smooth battery icons work with this build? I tried the last one he posted (with the transparent bar), and it hung at the droid eye, never to return, lol.

It'd be nice if someone who's running it would link to the specific ones that work, as there are quite a few on the other thread here.

how long did you wait... bc it takes a long time like almost 5 mins

Why isn't the wiimote working with this? Is this image still using the pre-2.1 bluetooth stack from our official rom?

This Rom is working great.

There are two things I would like changed.
1. TV-Out switched to composite
2. A Bluetooth stack that will work with the wiimote

How do I disable sense?

Just MMS or SMS as well?

Sorry folks, I am at a loss. Doing the best I can.

:(

When it works for me, it becomes tough to troubleshoot. Have either of you run logcats while sending messages?

Dude, you made an awesome rom that most of us love - you dont have to apologize - this is a use at your own risk and if people get all fired up about it - they can build a bridge and get the hell over it :P

This rom is fantastic and most everyone here appricites your work, dedication and innovative thought to even combine the evo framework with the dinc stuff.

Kudos to you man! and dont stress the fun haters :) the community supports ya!

Around 5 min, but it could have been shorter. I'll try it again, but I'll do a nandroid backup first, lol.

So the smooth-sense-1.0-white-battery-text-transparent_nolock.zip file works on this current rom?

I don't know, ask HTC. Its certainly not using a 2.1 BT stack by my doing.

BT voice dialing works, BT stereo works, but no, wiimote does not. I can't explain why, because I don't know.

It doesn't work on the 2nd leak either.

Can you confirm it works on the Evo?

Will do.

edit: Added to first post. Thanks for the posters who pointed this out. :)

Thanks again for the ROM. If I ever get the chance today, I'll try to see if the MMS fix will go through but if I cant, I wont be available to do much til next week. I'll try over the weekend if I get the chance.

Also, a few brews are headed your way :) thanks!!

yea i mean i waited a while... it works on the frankenrom in the first post i tried it myself.

I didn't mean this to come off as rude, sorry.

I've done some homework. Wiimote does not work on official Froyo for Evo either. Sorry, this is HTC's fault. :(

Would be nice if we could hide the location compass and clock in the notification bars

I second this, when hiding the location it changes the 6 signal bars back to the 4 bars. If only they could both work lol, but I like having the signal bars more than I hate looking at that Location icon haha, hopefully someone will come up with a fix for this.

Ditto. I was just asking if you'd replaced the stack. I apologize if I said anything out of line.

The stock HTC version is the problem here. I believe Cyanogen only works because it isn't using Sense and therefore can include the official driver set.

Well, its named Frankenrom for a reason, so who knows, maybe I can replace another body part and have it work ;)

I will do what I can. I'd like wiimote support too.

I hate asking n00b questions, but here I go. How do I uninstall flash inorder to reinstall the flash.apk and the hulu.apk. and do i use clockwork in order to install those??

Thanks for the help.

Ok noticed another really odd bug, Wondering if anyone else noticed or has this issue. When I use the camera directly to send MMS now, it works flawlessly with the workaround now posted in the OP, but Selecting an image from my gallery seems to still not get delivered.

I havn't tried your Zip patch you posted a few threads back, So I'll try that when I get home and can do a proper nandroid backup (sdcard is too full atm) and let you know of my results if any ^_^ i also try the htc messageing app and see how that goes.

Other than the MMS issues, this ROM rocks so far. I may not want to go to the official 2.2 update once it hits ;p

No need to uninstall. It was never included for this reasoning.

Yes keep me updated, thanks.

So far my bluetooth attemps with wiimote have failed. I used the drivers from bluez folder, and it didn't make a difference. So I have a feeling its related to Bluetooth.apk, which will not work, taking it from CM.

So...back to the drawing board.

its ok adryn we know you have a life as well so take your time and dont stress this is a phone first anyways and it works as a phone lol... kinda :)
