Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

got it, thanks a bunch. next question, the facebook widget isnt refreshing statuses, is this a froyo issue or a frankenrom issue? not a big deal nut thought maybe you would want to know.

In the original post you have a link to a Senseless version of your ROM, does that mean it won't work in that either?

Or instead of porting Sense to CM6, could you just port the CM6 bluetooth stack to the Senseless?
 
came across something odd today - I'm running Handcent for my messaging and so I turned notifications off in the stock app to avoid dual notifications - and now my phone won't make noise when I get new text messages. As soon as I turned back on the stock apps notifications everything works again - and I get dual notifications

maybe I'll try uninstall/reinstall Handcent

I had this issue while running 2.1, so I just turned off the notifications for handcent.
 
All I have to say is that 3 weeks ago I went from having no idea how to root a phone, to now being able to flash some crazy ROMS at will. Thanks to this community and thanks to guys like adrynalyn.

Dude, I am right there with ya. I went from an incredbily old phone that did nothing except make calls and text, to an incredible phone that, thanks to people like adynalyne, can do nearly anything i could want. Now if only there was an app that could deliver a beer from the fridge with one touch...

Moving on... I have read this entire thread completely at least twice, but I cannot figure out how to disable the dang weather animation that comes on when you unlock the phone. It pisses me off... ARGH!

Remove the HTC clock widget and then add it again. It will give you an option to uncheck the animations.
 
Can I install Franken ROM over test4 or do I wipe and go clean? Is the MMS bug present in Sense and Sense-less ROMs?
 
So I installed the Senseless version of this ROM, which I am really liking, however I need the Google Talk app and didn't realize it wouldn't be there. What is the easiest way to get this back? Thanks.
 
You know, I feel obligated to express my disdain that what is essentially a GUI element conflicts with low level personal area network drivers. What is so special and important in Sense that it doesn't work with a bluetooth stack that was introduced in Android 1.6?

I'm partly aggrivated because after charging my JX10 headset I found out the battery's toast and can hold a charge for about 0.5 seconds. Wonder if Batteries Plus will laugh at me if I bring that in...

i had the same issue. don't know if this is the right way to do it but here is what i did download the google apps (for froyo) and and install it in clockwork.

Sense has nothing to do with it. HTC, and Samsung for that matter, did not feel there was a need for BT HID support which is needed for wiimote, and BT keyboards for that matter.

I wiped and just installed fresh and wow it is running really nice!!!! Very smooth! Love the 6 bars of signal...wonder why HTC didn't do that with Incredible...but hey now we have the best of both worlds. :p

Good question. Does Sprint usually use 6 bars? They may have requested it.
