Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

Here is a question for you...you know on CM, the music widget is nicer than the Android stock one...is it portable? Or can only work with source ROMs? ;)

This is what his widget looks like:

Looks like this ROM is themed...but the widget looks like that...if there is no song selected, the background is like a CD.

LOL, no stress...I am just curious, cause I think it's kind of neat. The stock Android one is just not so good lookin... :D

So is CM6 senseless?

What's great about CM6 vs this Evo port?

Now that I am done with summer classes, I will be flashing a ROM over the weekend.

CM6 is senseless, built from source with some nice enhancements.

Its not without its share of broken features right now however.

There are problems with wifi, camcorder, and notification LEDs off the top of my head.

I just wanted to say thanks for this ROM, as it is awesome. Over the last week or so I've been trying different ones, and this one stands out with regards to both performance and battery life. The small issues here and there that exist in the other Froyo 2.2 ROMs simply don't exist with this one.

I hate to say the other ROMs aren't worth your time compared to this one, but... I didn't expect this one to be that much better either.

The only change I made was installing the Gmail 2.2.1 apk from the N1, because I prefer the new style reply/forward buttons. The old ones are annoying.

No. Mainly because its the APN data being pulled from something that is breaking it. The MMS app itself is kosher.

I just need to figure out where APN data is read from before it reaches the telephony.db database.

okay, so i've been following this thread pretty much since the start and LOVE the rom. it works great.

i thought i was just special with regards to MMS issue until last night when i realized none of mine were sending lol.
besides that, my only issue is when i'm typing an address in the navigation search. it seems to "bug out" while i'm typing. Every letter i press it just keeps refreshing awkwardly . Its hard to explain. it comes up with really random places or it will get it right as i'm typing but when i finish it no longer has any suggestions

does anyone else notice anything like this?

I've got an update to my issues:

I tried a fresh new install without any restores from backup programs, and the marketplace issue (sometimes randomly failing to install apps) I had appears to be gone now. MMS still didn't send unless it was directly from the camera (with the APN fix posted in OP) And none of the things I wanted to try fixed it except for installing and using the HTC Messaging app.

The HTC messaging app sent the images as slides everytime and it delevered them, but what would happen is it would freeze up on the "Loading..." screen after clicking send and would sit there forever until you back out of it.
The message still gets delivered however.

It would also get stuck on that "Loading..." screen if you try to enter a conversation in HTC Messaging app.

I installed this from the Second wave thread.

Do you think this might be a conflict with the default message app that I need to remove or something? Has anyone else tried to use the HTC messaging app in this rom? And is there any other info I can provide to help squash this issue? Thanks for your hard work on this!

P.S. I noticed much faster charging times and better overall batery life when I removed the facebook widget off my homescreen. I thought that bug was fixed already in the version included in your Rom. No Biggie though I can live without the widget.

with everyone having 'problems' with MMS it makes me wonder why mine works without any problems...
