Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

I'm getting FCs in the People app, too, especially when trying to change a contact's group.

And when I try to slide over to view all groups (bottom bar icon), it has a loading screen but never displays the groups.

Any ideas, Adrynalyne?

I will see if I can reproduce it.

By the way, first post has changelog for beta 2. Its uploading as I type this.

Sweet!

By the way, I thought I saw something about no wipe data/cache required from test 3 and on. Is that right?

Does that mean I don't need to do nandroid + Titanium if I want to flash beta 2?

Sorry, still new to this flashing thing.

EDIT: I see that you said the MMS fix requires a wipe OR running APN Backup, but I don't see the file "in [that] post." Did you forget to put up a link?

I don't have to wipe the phone for the MMX fix if I use APN Backup / Restore?

Off topic:

I really need a new SD card. My 2 GB card is pretty much stuffed to the gills. I should spring for a 16 GB...

As a rule, I like to wipe all data before I flash any new rom. Just to avoid any bad juju I may experience along the way. YMMV, good luck!

Oh and BTW, you definately want to invest in a new card. I recently updated to a 32gb card and I dunno what I did without it. The original card that came with the phone is hardly enough space to accommodate everything this phone can do. Music, movies, games, etc. Investing in more space is never a bad thing. :)

@Bearly,

If you haven't wiped since test 3, then now would be a good idea. That might be why you are seeing issues.
As for the link, check the post above ya :D

Didn't see anything in the OP and I'm still not entirely sure after seeing the post above this one...does Beta 2 require a wipe?

Update:

MMS working correctly.
Phone no longer crashes on speed dial.

Does this include the HTC messaging app working correctly now without hanging on the loading screen? (I prefer this to the stock one.)

If you get this working in beta2, I'll buy you a drink :)
I havn't noticed any bugs yet with my skyraider/Evo mashup, but I did feel like your rom runs a little smoother/faster, so i'll probably go back for good once everything is working correctly.

Just for kicks, I tried flashing Skyraider 2.2 and then installing the evo framework ontop of that.

Aside from it taking a while to boot (I thought it was locked on the droid eye and that it was a no go, was about to hardreset when it finally came up ;p) MMS apears to be sending properly on this configuration, and HTC messaging doesn't freeze up on the loading screen. I have tested and confirmed working:

GPS
Navigation
SMS and MMS
Gmail
Phone
Market place
Both storage connect as usb drives when hooked up to PC
Got 6 singal bars and signal seems to be stronger than skyraider by itself.

So far all apps I have downloaded have worked, but I havn't tried that many yet.

Ima test this rom longer and see if I can find something not working. (and no I don't have a tv-out cable to test that) Is there anything I can provide to you from this rom to figure out why MMS out is working here and not on yours?
Cool. Can you please post a link to just the framework, or tell me where this has been posted elsewhere?

The messaging app is the Android default messaging app. I haven't noticed any issues.

Thanks for the new beta :)
Its loading now...

so why is it that google doesn't know its own server address?
every time i set up exchange it puts in gmail.com instead of m.google.com
am i missing something?

as expected mms does not work for me now. going to try my apn backup and see if it works.

oh and thanks for the file manager... really helped getting set up!

Anyone else having issues with the music player not playing the mp3's that are on the internal storage?

I can confirm this bug as well. I tried both the HTC Music player as well as the one included on the Cyanogen rom that someone uploaded to this thread earlier, and it does not show the SDCard as being detected. :(

wiped - reloaded the OTA leak from XDA and FrankenROM 2 and my Quadrant score went down :( but Linpack runs 35-40 pretty constant...

EDIT: nevermind rebooted and its back up to 1200

adrynalyne, OK so I messed up... I loaded the messaging app that's an add on to the second wave. However, my messaging is hosed.

Any way I could get an update.zip of the one that works, or should I wipe and reload the rom again?

THANKS

Hmmm, that actually should have worked. Wipe after installing it, and see if it works. I tested it this morning. You used the leak2 mms right?

Yes, I did use mms leak 2.

So it's ok to just wipe now? I only loaded it say... 1/2 hour ago. PS: Which wipe, data/ or cache?

Data. When I installed this, I had setup no accounts yet and sent no messages. I just flashed, then went to clockwork and loaded it.

Let me know how you fare.
