Accessories EVO Screen Protectors Thread

My Phantomskinz order says it was shipped on the 10th via Priority Mail, and I still haven't received it yet. :(

Hands Down, the best one is Boxwave! Clarivue is ok, but the Anti Glare one I got from them for the incredible was very Foggy, not nearly as good as the one I have on my iphone 3Gs from apple. My friend has the Anti Glare from Boxwave on his BB 9700, and it's the closest I've seen to the apple one, which IMO is the best i've ever used. I'd sit tight, either Boxwave or steinheil should have them listed soon...
I received email from Steinheil saying they would have them once the phone is released. I guess they don't get a pre-released phone so they can have them ready for production before the phone is out.

For Steinheil, be prepared to sit at your computer pressing refresh! The release for incredible screens was insannnnnnne. They were out of stock in like 20 min, no kidding! There problem is that they dont have a simple pre-order page, or a notify me link. There good, but I would go with the box wave once they all have them in, I'll be grabbing the Ant-glare, hate finger prints.

Does anyone plan on going without a protector (naked) because it is a capacitive display with a glass screen that is said to be very scratch resistant? I know most people will say that it is just 10$ to guarantee a scratch free surface, but if it really only will get scratched from a drop I feel pretty good about my chances of keeping it secure. I currently use a Zagg and really don't care for the way it feels, maybe I will try a Phantomskinz.

I thought about going commando with my phone since it has the glass screen, but decided against it even though it should be pretty touch as in the video below.

WARNING: Not for the faint of heart. HERE is a video of a guy who takes a key, scissors and a razor to his HD2 screen and didn't show any scratches.

I could hardly watch doing stuff like that on purpose. The thread I found it in over at the XDA dev forums (LINK) had people responding saying theirs did scratch, so I would rather be safe than sorry on this phone.

I have no doubt that the screen on this phone is more scratch resistant than my Touch Pro 2 plastic screen, but I am not going to risk it. It would bug me every time I looked at it if there was a scratch on the screen.

HTC Evo 4G Full Body Protection

this is the one I received in the mail today. I ordered them Sunday and they arrived this afternoon. Pretty solid price and seem to cover a lot of the problem areas. Also 2 sets and very reasonable cost. Also carries a lifetime warranty for only 3.95 shipping and handling so not too bad.

@PhantomSkinzGuru Will you all be making the metallic finish skinz for the Evo?

Hi Sassy!

Yes we will be making Chromatics available for the EVO as soon as it is launched. Unfortunately, until the pattern is made, I have nothing to show you. Upon launch, type "chromatics" in the search bar on our web site and you will see the release.

I want to try out PhantomSkinz, but I may just order Zagg since I know I will be getting it in time for the 4th. Do you know when PhantomSkinz will be shipping the standard EVO screen protectors?

I got an amzer screen protector and the silicone evo case for now. The screen protector was 6.95 so I'm not out much if it sucks. Anyone ever used an amzer screen protector? They sell quite a few products so I figure they can't be too bad.

not sure if they are any good but for the price i ordered this off ebay

. Do you know when PhantomSkinz will be shipping the standard EVO screen protectors?

In the email I got from the rep, it seemed like he was saying they'd ship Monday the 7th at the earliest (they'd get a phone on the 4th to make the pattern from, and "USPS doesn't ship on Saturday").

I thought the USPS DID ship on Saturdays.:confused::confused:
