Root Evo wont start after flash!

UhQ

Lurker
Hey guys, I just rooted today with unrevoked.. Then I tried installing myns warm, Afterward, I tried booting my phone for it to be stuck at HTC EVO 4G screen without advancing...

Here are the version numbers on the bootloader screen.
SUPERSONIC EVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-2.10.0001
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMEL03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.11.19...

I've looked around a bit and found I have to boot into recovery but get this when I press it:

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

What recovery did you try flashing the ROM with in the first place? I can think of a few things that would give you boot loops/get you stuck at the splash screen, but losing recovery is odd.

Welcome to the forums!

I've shifted you to the rooting area for root-specific support.

Work with akazabam he's an expert as are others here.

Originally, I used rom manager to go into the clockwork recovery..

Thanks! I've been part of a few other forums for different things and most would blast me if I put it in the wrong section but thanks..

How old is your phone? Any idea what version of clockwork you had before? I assume you got it from unrevoked, or did you flash something else (different version?) from ROM manager?

It's a replacement just got it yesterday... 0004 is the hardware number.. Yes I got it from the newest unrevoked.

So your phone is not bootable right now, but you can get to hboot, and you know you have s-off? When you tried to flash it with ROM manager, did it actually go to clockwork, then successfully (supposedly) flash the ROM?

Download this file:

Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

Rename it to PC36IMG.zip (being careful not to unzip it or accidentally rename it to PC36IMG.zip.zip)

That is a flashable version of RA Recovery that should work on your phone. You need to flash it from hboot, so you need to get it on the root of your sdcard. I know there is an option to mount your sd card via usb in hboot. I can't think of it off the top of my head. You can also just put your sdcard in a reader if you have one. Once you boot back into hboot with that file on the root of your sdcard, it will prompt you to flash it.

Once you have flashed that, try to reboot into recovery. You should then have RA recovery. It's not clockwork, but it will get you back to a bootable state. You will need to download a ROM (myn's?) from xda:

not sure what you mean by "recieving the Root". do you mean the latest gingerbread ota? do you have s-off? can you get into recovery? what are you doing when you get the vibrations? more info is needed to help you out here.

the recovery upload on this link doesn't work anymore. he's saying he has the same problem, lost recovery, four triangles short vibratations etc.

here's the pcimg for amon ra recovery and clockworkmod recovery. I don't know if these are still the latest versions, but they both backup wimax and do the basic nandroid stuff that a beginning root user would need to get started.

after downloading one or the other, you need to rename it to JUST PC36IMG, move it to the root of your sd card, boot to your bootloader, and then follow the on screen instructions
