EVO3D and Sense UI 3.0

What liar? If you're talking about the previous post, every one of those claims are backed up in the link directly from HTC...

I'm talking about bluescreen. He said he worked on the EVO and gave us false information. It turned out he was just trolling and most of what he said was wrong. He is still allowed to make claims. In this case it's something we know already. Usually most of what he says is just plain wrong.

Sense 3.0 has features that I haven't seen anybody talk about! Preview you drive; I think the difference in this one, as you move along it stay on course with the route. Whereas on the current GPS you move around and have to follow the blue course route yoursself. Flip to silence; which is old actually...that was first introduced with the Touch Pro II (If I'm not mistaken). Map with compass; I guess you now know which way your going at all times! Zero wait map; don't have to wait on the map to load up. Catch all calls; when the phone is in your pocket, purse or bag it will ring louder to notify you, and when you remove it from these area's it will go back to the normal ringtone volume. Never miss a turn; When you driving and using your GPS and your receive a call, it will now do both and the caller will pop underneath the GPS and now answer and still get direction! Some of these feature are older and for specific devices, now I'm assuming HTC is making these standard across the board!

HTC - HTC Sense

Actually on the Touch pro 2, flipping it puts the speaker phone on. But right on about the rest.

Yes it does, and also has the Flip silent feature while receiving a call you can silence the ringtone! @14:08

YouTube - HTC Touch Pro 2 Features PART TWO

I own a touch pro 2 and been using it as my phone for the past year and a half. I didn't watch the 15 minute video. But i can tell you that when i flip my phone it turns the speaker phone on (during a call).

And the ring louder in the pocket works. It gets less as i bring it towards my hands.

not during a call....

when the phone rings... and if you flip it over.. it will silent the ringer.

^^^Thank you dan...I too own a touch pro II and a Evo 4G, I had touch pro II since 1 or 2 months after release date...and in my post I said while receiving a phone call

Also worth pointing out that the TP2 has a feature called Polite Ringer. It isn't louder in your pocket but when you pick it up it lowers the volume to be "polite" to those around you.

The Evo 3D is coming to Europe. This was announced almost a month ago.

HTC France Confirms EVO 3D Will Come to Europe

Funny how his posts stopped after you posted this..

Be careful tho guys, I was warned and had some (points?) deducted for arguing against this almighty Bluescreen. Just a FYI.

I am sure Sense 3.0 will be able to go into landscape, 2.0 does it so it only makes "sense". I use an OG EVO (sorry guys who hate that label :p) so the only Sense version I can use above 1.0 are the ones that have been ported. They have major redraw issues for me.

I honestly can't figure out the benefit in having my homescreens go into landscape tho.. but I know that's just a preference.

My post wasn't directed at BSOD. It was someone else that was saying there was not GSM version of Evo 3D.

I like it. I believe the popular launchers out there all support this, and it's configurable, so you can lock it in portrait if you don't like or need the orientation change.

Yes, a lot of people like it and there's nothing wrong with it, I just don't find a need for it.

I have Launcher pro plus, and ADW ex and I disable homescreen landscape in all of them. It always seems to go into landscape when I don't want it to and all of them have to "redraw" my widgets and icons which gets annoying.

I'm sure with better hardware (like the evo 3d) that this issue will likely go away.

Bumping this thread, since it was confirmed that the full version of Sense 3.0 won't be on older devices.

My question is, in this video from Android and Me with a custom ROM on the EVO, thing that intrigued me MOST about the new Sense UI changes were the different skins that were going to be available
YouTube - HTC's NEW Sense UI (Coming soon to Evo 4G, Droid Incredible, Desire HD)

That said, has anybody seen any newer videos with the actual Sense 3.0 on it, where they showed the ability to have different skins? I hadn't seen ANY reviewers mention that at all.

I gotta say: The more I read about Sense 3 the more I realize that they're light years ahead of every other manufacturer as far as putting their own software on top of android. I don't think there is another brand out there who I'd want really. Give me Sense or vanilla, that's it.

Also I'm using Myn's Warm Z now and it's gorgeous. Sense 3 is going to be amazing.

For those of us who prefer the overlays (Sense) over vanilla, we're going to have to take a closer look at vanilla in the upcoming android versions. GB was a "polish" release, meaning there weren't that many new major features, but Google addressed a lot of usability problems. You'll notice them here and there as you use the phone; they're subtle, but they make vanilla a lot more friendly.

I think Ice Cream is going to be pretty darn sweet (heh) as vanilla (hehe).

Couldn't agree more. I already like honeycomb over Sense (1.0 anyway) as is. If Ice Cream is supposed to be a marriage of HC and GB I think I will prefer vanilla android from there (unless HTC pulls some really big tricks out of their sleeve).

A lot of what makes honeycomb great in vanilla is the widgets, so I'd love having a phone with Ice Cream and Sense overtop of that so that I'd have the option to use parts of both.
