I know my UPS guy pretty well, he's always delivering something to me
I'll just tell him to return it and he'll send it back marked refused. I've done it before, didn't have to do anything.If you don't think you'll be able to intercept the UPS guy you'll have to ship it back. You could probably just take it to the nearest UPS store and tell them you don't want it. You may have to pay for return shipping, but this is assuming they deliver without a signature. If they require a signature then simply don't sign, and they have no choice but to return it.

yea, i was wondering if they'd require a signature or not..i wanna say normally when i've dealt with sprint directly on phones they've never required a signature..but if they do thats perfect.

Oh and if I get one in the morning my very first outgoing e-mail will be to evp to cancel the order, which'll be before they get in to the office at 9am (so much for being up all night for us

Wow lmao.............i still don't know whether to go to radio shack this morning who already has a name on a Evo for me....i preordered there a couple weeks ago as a back up plan....

Been a lurker of this thread for a while, and I too preo-ordered from EVP.
I too wish my phone was here tomorrow, but I am ok with waiting until it arrives.
For all we know, they could have shipped things out today, and not sent us confirmation numbers.
But anything is better than fighting the stores.

I have a feeling nothing has shipped yet because people were still able to cancel their orders up until EVP closed yesterday afternoon. I suspect they won't begin the process of ordering/shipping until they open for business this morning, so there's still time to grab one at an early opening and e-mail/cancel before they notify you of shipping.

So on the off chance that the line would be short I decided to schlep it all the way down to Tyson's Corner, VA (50+ miles) to what is arguably the biggest Sprint corp. store in the area.
To my surprise, when I arrived at 4:30am, there was no-one else here. Not a one. Bonus.. now there's me and a family of 3 waiting here. So if you're in the Northern VA area and looking for a place to go, this might be a good one to pick if you're quick.
FWIW, I e-mailed my EVP rep already and canceled. Being first in line at a corp store I'm pretty confident they'll have what I want. The only thing I'm remotely concerned about is some kind of 1 per customer rule, because I need 2

I dont think there will be lines anywhere. Most anyone that wanted it first day did BB or RS pre-orders and looks like they have gone the appt route with everyone. So no need to stand in line except for us EVPers that ended up cancelling to get it on the first day.
I have a BB pre-order appt scheduled at 1pm today, but I am not going to use it. I will stay with my EVP order. For me, its a better deal financially.
I will I just go by this morning and give my BB pre-order allocation to someone waiting to see if there are any leftovers after pre-orders.

So glad I canceled the EVP order LOL I went to my Sprint Store at 8am there were like 10 people in front of me but 9 people helping customers. All in all I was in and out in roughly 20 minutes and they gave me an even bigger discount than I would have had from EVP 25%! instead of the 15% I had on the EVP site and they waived the activation fee!

canceled my evp order....ran over to sprint because the guy told me he had a couple evo's that werent sold....get there and find out they've been sold out for the last 30 mins lol (they sold like 80 in the first hour).....place was packed....however he said they may be getting a shipment later today and has me on the waitlist for #9 i believe. here's hoping it comes......

Found a corporate store down the street from me, so i took a chance and went there. They were handing out numbers, got number 31 and they were on number 30. Called EVP rep Brain cancelled my order, and purchased my EVO. Took all of 10 minutes......

That seems higher than EVP. I think most people were looking at $174 after rebate through EVP. They may have charged u an activation fee or something else, which could account for the difference.
It really doesnt matter anyhow. At least you have yours in hand and dont have to wait till Monday!!!!! Congrats. I am jealous.

I just spoke with EVP to see if I could go to the Sprint store and just have a phone put on my EVP account. Unfortunately, I was asking too late. My order had already been confirmed and processed for shipping. Tracking numbers will be sent out later today. They have "many" groups of 100s of orders they are trying to process first to get them out the door, then sending mass confirmation emails out later today. Wish they would send confirmations as they process them.
Oh well. I can wait till Monday.

I think the174 was for new customers maybe I am not sure. I set my alarm for 8:00 and can't believe as tired as I was and I wasn't feeling good I got up and went to this one store I knew wouldn't be as crowded. EVP is an hour later on time so I had to wait till 9 to call them even though they opened at 8 it said. I got to my store around 8:30ish and there were only about 15 people in line and they were letting in 2 at a time. They said they had 60 in so I knew I was getting one. As soon as 9:00 hit I called EVP and Lisa answered and I canceled.
I got my boy friends also and when he called Brian he goes well there being shipped today. I went ahead and got a pink silicone case and for him a black one even though I have the purple Seidio one which is on the phone now.. But it sure is a nice phone big screen web is nice on it. I am having trouble with typing cause I am not used to an on screen keyboard but I'll get used to it. I'm so glad I canceled too. And my boyfriend said the same thing that most people who really wanted this phone probably already preordered from BB or RS and that maybe Sprint line wouldn't be so bad. I can't believe how lucky I was. I am off all weekend to play with my phone. I had to bill the phone to my account and I have to mail in the rebate but that's ok. I have a 200 dollar credit on there already. Hope everyone enjoys there phone.
