I didn't read that but there are a ton of android fanboys too.
I personally don't see why people feel the need to defend their choices to other groups. I have no loyalty to any OS.
I remember a guy telling me that the Storm was better than the Omnia because the Omnia had too many options with regard to multiple media players and web browsers.

I think fanboys on any side are lame. I didn't post it simply because it's an iphone fan. I posted it because I thought people would get a laugh out of the misinformation being presented as fact. I'm like you I'm not loyal to an OS. I've had an iPhone since 2007 and my next phone will be an Android because I'm bored with iOS and I want a change.

Fanboy exist everywhere but I give the edge to the iPhone owner, I say this because most of my friends have an iPhone and when we hang out one of them always asking me when am I getting an iphone. Some of them used to be with sprint and jump ship all because they saw someone with an iphone. I have nothing againsts them or the choices they make but I'm not getting an iPhone just to get it because everyone else have one.
A fanboy's a fanboy. You might run into more Apple fanboys but the irrationality and strange brand loyalty is the same no matter what camp they're in.
Better is always subjective. You might not understand it but too many choices can be a problem for some. If someone makes a claim that something is better without qualifying the context of the comparison then that person is probably a fanboy.

What? I don't know where he bought his iPhone from, but even the Galaxy S is cheaper than the iPhone 4.

At least big cats sound menacing/active. Windows and Ubuntu have some funny names, too. Windows users just don't use them.

Many jumped from Sprint because prior to the Evo, Sprint had absolutely nothing that could act as iPhone alternative. Notice after the Evo, the bleed Sprint was experiencing with customers reversed.
I do see a problem with 2011 though. The Android phones are getting more powerful, but the Android experience isn't necessarily better.
If you have an Evo with 2.2, there is very little incentive for wanting an Optimus 2X or Atrix. On paper, their specs are better, but in terms of daily user experience, they will offer little, if anything over Evo.
Until Google really steps up and brings honeycomb like advancements to Android, I don't see much worth getting excited about right now. A 10 core phone running Froyo no better than a snapdragon is a silly concept.

A fanboy is a fanboy is a fanboy. I've found that Apple's tend to be the worst because there are so many of them, they're so vocal and so quick to pull out the pitchfork and torch too. That is a bear you do not want to poke generally speaking.

This is my favorite excerpt from the points he makes. I am assuming the author is speaking of adding a microSD card? If he thinks it takes a cell phone repair man to do that, he definitely picked the right phone for him. He won't get many of the options Android users have, but this is fine. It seems he doesn't want the, nay, is happy he doesn't get them, in the first place.

Yeah, that cracked me up as well. The reason Android doesn't offer phones with 32 GB or 64 gb of storage in them out of the box is that there is no need for that. It's very easy to simply buy an SD card and slap it in there. The 32 GB iPhone costs $100 more than the 16 gb version. I can buy a 16 gb class 10 micro SD card for around $50. Memory actually is cheaper on Android phones and you don't have to be a "cell phone repair man" to put an SD card in a phone. It ain't rocket science.

Yes, they're pretty easy to ignore once spotted.
But there is a point of interest for a bit, when the details of their chosen device vs others come out in a discussion.
If it's all, "(fill in the blank) sux and (fill in the blank) rocks!" then it's just immaturity, of course.
But if it's, "(fill in the blank) can import this file type and (fill in the blank) can't, then we might be learning something from them.

Ok, that rant sucked. I'm sure an intelligent and legitimate list of knocks on Android could easily be written. Although I love my DX and the Android OS that powers it, it's still far from perfect and still very open to criticism.
But I'll tell you what REALLY impressed me with that that thread was that quite a few Apple owners actually came to the defense of Android and called out the OP. It was funny how a thread bashing Android descended into an argument about Microsoft... those guys are just as A.D.D. as we are!

^ from being on there for a short while, I can tell that there really is no difference between Apple owners and Android owners. There are definitely sane and intelligent people on both sides. A lot of people there used to own Android devices like there are quite a few people here that used to own the iPhone.

Hate is such a strong word that shouldn't be used on non trivial topics. It's used too often by Fanboys.
Like when people say, I hate Steve Jobs or I hate Google. Really??? The only way I can possible say I hate someone or something is if they did something super horrible to me directly.
