Fatalities 2024

Dabney Coleman 92 passed away on May 16th 2024. I remember him from a lot 80s movie's. Rest in peace Mr. Coleman
I always enjoyed his characters, who were easy to hate. His best role was arguably the horrid boss in “9 to 5”. Hard to imagine any other actor selling that role so well.

RIP, Mr. Coleman, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your family, friends, fans and loved ones.

Documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (probably best known for 2004’s “Supersize Me”) has died at 53 from complications of cancer.

He was a really creative and interesting guy and I was intrigued by the referenced movie. I’m no health nut, but it sure made me think about some of my habits.

RIP, Mr. Spurlock, and thanks for sharing your talents. Condolences to your family, friends, fans and loved ones.

That's my Team , and he was a great player..... R.I.P Larry Allen.
I grew up in Phoenix, which at the time didn’t have a pro football team (up until the Cardinals won the Súper bowl I used to quip that they still didn’t…).
For whatever reason I adopted the Cowboys as my football team, and the Cubs for my baseball team. I’ve stood by both of them ever since.
FWIW, I was never a big hockey fan, and at the time the Phoenix NHL franchise was the Roadrunners. They disappeared a long time ago and a few years back they got the Coyotes, which I think makes for the best name in pro hockey, since: “Roadrunner, the Coyote’s after you!” :D
(Side note: I also think the Diamondbacks have the best name in pro baseball, because it fits the region perfectly and baseball is played on a Diamond-shaped field…)
Okay, I’m done reminiscing and return you to your regularly-scheduled forum-hopping. :D

Mr. Ape (2013-2024) Mr. Ape was my daughters security pillow, travel campion, weapon, bestie, partner in crime and legal advisor :D:thumbsupdroid::batdroid::specsdroid:.
Also Mr.Ape was a couple of years a head of the whole gender confusion craze :goofydroid: that has become popular. Mr. Ape is actually a girl, who knows she's a girl, but Instead pretended to be man, for reasons known only to Mr. Ape , according to a conversation with daughter years ago, Mr. Ape was connected.:thinking:
Rest in peace Mr. Ape

If you’ve seen the excellent “Apollo 13,” then you’re familiar with the name Jim Lovell. But 13 was not Mr. Lovell’s first trip to the moon; in December, 1968 he was with Frank Borman and Bill Anders as the orbited the moon in man’s first visit. (It’s an amazing story in its own right, and I would greatly commend to you the book Rocket Men by my acquaintance Robert Kurson.)
And even if the name Bill Anders doesn’t ring a bell, he took one of the most famous photos in history as they orbited the moon. Surely you have likely seen it.

Sadly, Mr. Anders died at the good old age of 90, doing something that he greatly loved, flying his plane, when it crashed off the coast of Washington.

RIP, Mr. Anders, and thank you for your invaluable contributions to helping us better understand our moon. Deep condolences to your family, friends, fans and loved ones.
