Fatality: 2020

Thank you for that, joe71. I've lost two very close people to suicide, and I don't think it gets the attention it deserves.

Dr Breem had to spend many years learning/studying to become a practicing physician. It's a long, hard path that requires much dedication. I'm sure that she positively impacted many lives/families. It's tragic that when she needed help herself...for whatever reason(s), it either wasn't there, or she didn't see it as a viable option, or...something. RIP. :(
I have heard reports of several doctors resorting to suicide, first I can understand the hopelessness they might have felt, your fighting against a virus that is basically still a mystery. Then add on quickly it spreads and how quickly it can take a life.
Another thing is I am wondering how many were really suicides or have people started to notice things and started asking questions:thinking:

Another suicide...

Child's Play screenwriter John Lafia has died at 63.

I'm sorry he couldn't/wouldn't get the help he needed. My heart goes out to his ex-wife, two children, his other relatives and friends. I'm sure his death leaves a hole in their hearts...and many 'what ifs.' :(

Dave Greenfield, keyboard player with The Stranglers, from Covid 19 at the age of a mere 71.

A distinctive and memorable style, he and another member were asked to try and compose something by the 2 main band members and writers, who went to the pub.

They discounted Mr Greenfield's "Golden Brown" when they came back, but it became their best known hit.

I didn't know it was about heroin until now, but I had a sheltered existence, and it's still a great tune.

R.I.P.

Roy Horn, of 'Siegfried and Roy' fame, has died from COVID-19 at age 75.

Condolences to his partner of many years, and his other relatives and friends.

RIP, Roy, and although I'm against keeping wild animals in captivity, I know that you treated yours like they were your children, even preventing the tiger who mauled you, Mantecore, from being put down. Your heart was good, and your animals knew it.

I loved him on Seinfeld, i watched it for him and Kramer..... on of his funniest episodes was when him and Kramer were playing pool in there man bras.
OMG, their man bras! That was hilarious. :D

Like @rootabaga, I have some gray hair, and first became aware of Stiller as part of Stiller and Meara. They were so funny. And they each proved through separate projects that they were super-talented in their own right.

They're reunited now.

I'm very sad to report that actor Fred Willard has died. He was 86 and died of natural causes.

He's a regular on Jimmy Kimmel, but I'll always fondly remember him from the hilarious Fernwood 2night, a spoof of late-night talk shows. That was a spin-off from the amazing Mary Hartman! Mary Hartman!, which was a spoof of soap operas. Ah, the '70s...

RIP, Fred. Thanks for making me laugh out loud for decades. Jimmy Kimmel won't be the same without you. :(

He was truly gifted and played lots of memorable, silly roles. One of my favorites was as the mayor of the little town where Steve Martin was the Fire Chief in "Roxanne."

RIP, you nut. I'm glad you were able to have a successful career doing something you loved.
An awesome nut he was.
Such a delight in his roles.

ALso he played Amy Barone's father in Everybody Loves Raymond. With his passing, all of the "grandparents" and "in laws" from that show are all gone. They were all well casted and funny.

Wow...what a day...

Phyllis George, a pioneering figure in the world of female TV sportscasters, has died at 70. This sounds like deja vu, but she died from a blood disorder.

RIP, Ms George, and thank you for being an integral part of showing that 'we' can be just as good as 'them' in the sportscasting booth.
