Root Fav ROM?

i was missing calls on the newest ic3, it wouldnt ring on my end till about the 5th ring the caller heard. there is no way to adjust slot cycle either since epst.apk was removed.

white widow 3.2
damage rom (currently running)
aloysius snow (always end up going back to aloysius. most stable rom i have tried)

caddy Ive had the same problems with Ic3 its my favorite ROM but it keeps randomly rebooting.. I'm trying out damage, which I like, only problem thus far Ive noticed is while looking at ur apps, in landscape mode get FC.. i tried xtrom but i couldn't d/l apps off market,,, love Aloysius, pure hero is great, waiting on new fresh release for today, and I always end up going back to Tainted Vanilla!!

I have been running Senseless for the last week (with LauncherPro) and it is a solid, solid ROM. I will go back to Ivan's tonight, but if you like the white status bar, if you like stock Android, Senseless is a great choice.

Weirdly, I am having better luck with the stock keyboard over HTC's Sense keyboard, though I know most people prefer it. The accuracy seems better and the dictionary seems to guess my words better.

My three favorites so far: Not in any particular order -
WW3.1 - Very stable, one dialer, and I can have my Cyanide&Happiness apk :D
Pure Hero - Great rom.
Damage - currently running this one, very smooth, without JIT. I charged my phone last night and when I got up this morning, my battery was still at 100%

I see 2 versions of Damage on XDA

[ROM]new links/DamageR_5.0 a.k.a F1n1$h3R/NAVI/ a2sd/ friendstream/oc/ 6-09-10

and

[ROM] DamageR_DCG v4.6 Port Rev 2 [New working links!] (6/9/10) OC/JIT/LWP/APPS2SD

Which one are you using and do you know the difference?

I can tell you the difference just by looking at the titles. Just like in Aloysius and several other roms, you have to choose either LWP or NAVI. It appears that 4.6 has LWP, while 5.0 has Navi. I don't know why one breaks the other? Perhaps EU1 will chime in on that part.

Edit: Google maps may actually be present, but you won't be able to locate yourself using the sats.

Great thanks alot, i went with the live wallpapers..i already have a GPS haha

And this ROM is phenomenal

Conaps ELB2.4 using Cyanogen (thanks again Grdlock) is the best I've experienced so far. Fast, stable, can metamorph, and so lightweight - have all my standard apps (not using apps2sd) and well over 100 mb of internal memory. Plus the fact that its an incredibly responsive developer and you simply can not go wrong.

EDIT: ELB2.5 just came out, haven't flashed yet but see what I mean about a responsive developer??

This is good to know... I had a few problems with silent calls, etc, and now I am starting to wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the ROM? This is a later model that was replaced for the silent call issue, so I'd find it hard to believe that a newer model would have this issue (everyone who replaced their phone generally were happy with the results).

Im torn between Senseable 3 and White Widow 4.4. both are stable, though WW 4.4 takes up far less resources then Senseable. If Senseable had apps2sd that would be it for me. i guess i'm still used to the sense layout from stock. Does anyone know which ROMs have apps2sd ready to go other then WW4.4 and are similar to Senseable 3?

Did anyone else have trouble with EE 3.0 booting up?

Other than that it takes a hell of a long time to boot up the first time, no other trouble.

As far as my favorite ROM, CELB 2.7 the best cyanogen rom i've had on my phone out of the few that are available for the Eris.

I havent rooted my replacement eris yet, but on the 2 old ones, I liked evil eris the best. i have to have sense because I need HTC's calendar widget and I like the weather effects. the downfall i had was that the newspaper app wouldnt load the webpages for whatever reason.

I am currently debating if I should root this eris just yet since the last one's 3g went out when verizon tried pushing the update thru. While I am in doubt that the eris will ever have verizon update it to froyo, im not giving up hope just yet. If I see a froyo rom out that is functionable, i will be rooting the phone while im downloading the rom. its in my nature to do things like root, but i had problems with my last 2 erises(the first one had a trackball problem due to a loose power connection)

Yeah, I waited 30 minutes and mine never finished booting up, I said screw it.
I went back to Aloysius V12, and when CELB 2.7 came out, I got it and have been using it since :D

XTR 2.1.1 with vBoost and OCed to 710/710 is what I've settled on.

Like most rooters here, I've flashed more than I can remember exactly, probably 10 or 12.

I can't criticize any ROM at all, but I did find a few that just would not function well. Also, I noticed that some are more tolerant to overclocking than others; I'll have to learn more about the kernels used, etc, even though I know that it is the CPU on my device which is most responsible for overclocking tolerance.

Do you have any issues with running 710/710. I always thought it was safer to have some room between the two numbers. Does it get really hot or drain battery and different?

After gradually moving the max setting to a level that I wanted, with no problems (there were no problems at higher settings either, but I saw no differences in performance at higher than 710), I began gradually moving the min up a little every day, watching battery levels and heat.

I found absolutely no differences between having it down at very low levels and having it match the maximum setting, so there it has remained: 710/710.

I just loaded xtrROM 3 and it is insanely fast. it blows white widow out of the water. not nearly as buggy and no adds throughout the ROM.

2.1.1 seemed quick at everything right from the beginning and remains that way after all my apps and other idiosyncratic input over the past week now.

I feel like I've found what I was looking for when I first rooted and begun the daily downloading and flashing of ROMs.

So you're running 3. Did you flash vBoost?
