I see that it has been removed entirely from the XTR posting page there at XDA.
Along with "stockapps" it was an extra ROM to be flashed following the 2.1.1 install for extra speed. I'll bet the developer has amalgamated it into the 3 ROM.

This may be a bit off topic for this thread, so if anyone can direct me to the appropriate thread that would be great. I'm running xtrROM 3.0.1 which is my favorite rom to date. However, I would like to change the lockscreen from the stock eris one to the rotary style one. Any ideas or thoughts?

Besides the donate link in the ADW settings, which is for that particular dev not andrizoid, what ads are you talking about?
I've used xtr 2.1.1 and 3.0.1 the most. I find it to be the fastest and most stable. My only complaint with 3.0.1 is that it is pretty heavy. Just ordered a class 4 card to try out a2sd and add a lot more storage for my music.
I've been trying out celb 2.7 today. It seems slower than xtr, but I'll have to try this one out for a couple of days to see if I like xtr or celb better. Right now, I'm liking xtr more. Why doesn't celb have a mobile network toggle if you long press the end call button? That seems like something every ROM should have since no toggle widgets seem to do it without drilling into the settings menu.
I'm running launcherpro on all of my ROMs. I just love it, and now we've got missed call/texts number notifications.

I tested out xtr 2.1.1 but kept seeing random reboots which pretty much killed it for me. I was running 3.0.1 w/ jit and apps2sd enabled but after a couple days of usage I noticed all my apps kept losing their settings or wouldn't start from the same spot. I would open personal assistant and be logged on from before, then I'd open it a minute later and be at the login screen. I would hit home then reopen the app and be at the create account/login screen. I saw this behavior with several different apps.
I still like to experiment with other roms but my daily rom is IC3 v2.7. It has a very nice blend of vanilla/sense UI. Entirely bug free for me, it may not have the apps2sd like 2.9 but I'll give that up for stability.

Aloysius Snow has replaced XTR 2.1.1 on my Eris. I flashed it out of curiosity after seeing several posts in this forum and at XDA.
I am not sure why yet, but I've checked twice to be sure: Aloysius Snow shows one bar more in signal strength than XTR does.
I'm nearly certain it is something in the interpretation of the actual signal strength by the graphic display.. perhaps somebody can shed some insight.
The primary reason I'm attracted to Aloysius Snow is that right away I noticed that its performance is just as fast, unclocked, as XTR is overclocked to 710. I find that interesting as well as advantageous in that I am not messing with the CPU any more.

I replaced XTR 2.1.1 by IC3 v2.7, I loved XTR, but then IC3 cought my attention and it is working for me like a charm, verry smooth, it sync my contacts with facebook just fine, it has everything a really need and like!! I think Im gonna stick with this one for a while, may be

Scratch alll that Lol !!, its a great ROM but I've been getting multiple reboots just randomly, its sad but I guess I'll be back to XTR for a while

That's interesting. Have you contacted the developer? I'm sure he'd appreciate the feedback.

U know what I didn't think about that, but now that u mention it I will, cuz from what I have read so far I'm not the only one gettin random reboots with this ROM, if I recall correctly

They love to perfect their work. User feedback is their number one source for info on their ROMs.
Plus donate if you can. This is free stuff.. free operating systems for us. Fling them a few dozen burgers.

It is working well.
I have to say, though, that I keep tweaking my ROMs, no matter which one, to the same settings.. so, I basically just need to stop flashing ROMs.

I just rooted and flashed the ROM on my Eris for the first time using this guide:

and using the suggested v34 of KaosFroyo
I was hoping it would fix the silent call bug that a lot of Eris users have experienced, but no luck. I was able to root and instlall the ROM with no problem though, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a ROM/kernel that is KNOWN to fix this issue for sure. I need this bug fixed above all other issues. I don't care about features and looks right now, I just want a fix for the sound bug.
UPDATE:
I upgraded to 2.6.29.6 CFS Kernel V4 and the mic still isn't working but I can hear the other caller. I'm thinking about trying to go back to 1.5 and the original kernel.
