What don't you like about the stock camera app?

I would like to find an app that is comparable to the iphoto app that comes on the ipad3. It looks fantastic...too bad it's apple.

One of the good things I love about my mac, iphoto, garage band, imovie, all really good software that comes with any mac. Real easy to use, pretty much drag and drop.

Would be great to see an app like this for Android.

That is the calendar widget I use on my lock screen and I really like it.

I recently started using Life Reminders and really like it. It is simple to set up and perfect for those little reminders like taking out the garbage.
You can use it on the lock screen? How?

I just started using Life Reminders today - looks like a useful little tool. Thanks for the heads up!

I just found an app that I think everybody should have!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trustgo.security

It gives you information on battery, data, and memory usage.

It scans your apps for suspiciously excessive permissions, and lists apps which display notification ads and can otherwise cause security problems.

It can back up your contacts list to the cloud (automatically if desired)

Lastly, (but definitely not least!) it can locate your phone (GPS or LOUD alert) if it is lost, and allows you to remotely lock it and display your contact information on the lock screen for somebody who finds it.

Dont suppose there is a calendar equivalent? when I put a meeting inot my claendar and tell the phone to be on silent during that time?. currently I use outlook on the desktop and am looking for an app to sync to the phone, and would happily use whatever calendar app allowed that!!!
Previoulsy the "timed profile" in nokia was the nearest I got - could set it to be silen until the end of the meeting, then back to loau so I knew which pocket it was in.

Sounds like a job for Tasker.

As of last night my new favorite is K-9 mail,I am fairly new to this whole Android smart phone, but i am loving it more and more every day. Thanks for all the great recommendations and advice i have found here.

I love light flow. You can customize all of your notifications. Change the LED colors and flashing rate, customize sounds, and vibration. Allows you to have notification sounds or LED notifications that normally don't have any (I now have notification sounds for WWF notifications )

There is also a free version with a few less features for those of you that don't like to pay for apps.

So far I am enjoying Spoof App in my Android phone. It has place a call, call recording and my account. I shared this app to my friends and they enjoyed it, just like me.

After 6 months of using android there are two apps that have remained on my phone for a long time and get used daily.

TED
Introduced to me by Drippler

and

Wordfeud. Love the game and spend too much time chatting to a girl from Texas on it!

The Viz Profanisaurus is also excellent! But you will probably have to be British to understand the context of it. (Classic adult comic full of obscenity!)

BBC News, eBay and Google Sky Map have also remained. And a few others. I dont play computer games but Devil Hunter is pretty good!

Um not to seem too stupid, but what about them differs so that you have both of them installed?

Simple calendar widget shows a full agenda that is scrollable.

Life reminders allows me to have a pop up for things I want to be reminded of that I don't necessarily want to put on my calendar, like setting the trash out weekly.

Last night I decided to give Slice a try. WOW!!!

If you ever shop online you really should use this app. I had plenty of doubts about how well it would actually work, but I was very impressed. After linking my Gmail account all of my recent online purchases showed up including tracking info (for the item that had tracking info). Really easy to set up and the app does exactly what it is supposed to.
