Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

LBE Privacy Guard seems to be my favourite root app atm. It's multifunctional giving you ability to control a number of permissions (not all) and monitoring your data usage. I really like the notification of apps that want to obtain certain permission but got denied. It would be nice if there were more permissions to access. I only have a fear of the battery life as it seems like a resource intensive app.

aCar - is an all-in-one handy application to effectively track the fuel mileage and costs, maintenance, business (and non-business) trips/mileages and general expenses of your vehicles. Whether you want to track the fuel mileage, expenses or maintenance of your vehicles, or to simply know if your vehicles operate at their maximum performance, aCar is the right tool for you. You will never miss a maintenance service using the highly customizable reminders even if aCar is not running.

I've gotten to the point that I like to keep just one of my home screens and really don't use any of the others. That being the case, I can't keep so many icons on that one home screen. So I put them in folders. "Folder Organizer" is one very good app, but lately I encountered "Circle Launcher" (both Lite and Pro) and I am really digging it. Combine that with the numerous icon sets on the market and it looks awesome.

Another App I am loving, (but its more for tablets than a phone) is "Quill". On my Lenovo Thinkpad tablet, it comes with a Notes Mobile app that takes advantage of the stylus and active digitizer for note taking and or sketching, but a developer created Quill and it is 1000 times better.

My favorite apps are

Netflix - Enough said

- Awesome app, very hard to stump. Think of a character, it will guess it. Great icebreaker, fun. I believe it's only available on the Amazon App store.

Rage Reader -Great for the redditor who likes the f7u12 comics.

Rhapsody - Me and 2 other people pay $15 to listen to unlimited music. Awesome

I can get an endless supply of coffee and stuff just by pointing my phone (with a barcode) at their scanner :D

^^Amazon App Store only which means we can't get it in the UK (yet).

Does anyone know how to circumvent the US only restriction on the App Store? I've used Market Enabler to get it around it on the Android Market but I'm a bit stumped with AAS

This may sound stupid but I actually LOVE the Google Navigation App. It works better and is smoother and has a better overlay then my real GPS and the Traffic overlay is cool too. I like to show it off to people in my car with the satellite overlay on, it looks awesome.

Yep, easy circumvent - Google it.

I'm looking for an app which will have reminders popup on the home screen. Of all the ones I tried only Astrid looks good however it still pops up the reminder at the top of the mobile. Any suggestions?

I use ColorNotes! You can schedule reminders to pop up (but in the notification bar). Each note, where urls, phone numbers , email addresses are saved converts as hotlinks. Also can have reminders set up as onetime or recurring.

You can "save" sticky notes to a home scree.

I've fallen in love with a whole host of apps since I got my Thunderbolt a couple of months ago. I think my number one favorite has to be Tasker though. It has allowed me to automate some of the simpler tasks that became tedious, for example it turns on auto-rotate whenever YouTube launches.

Other apps I adore are Shazam, Google Maps, Google Reader (I really don't like the magazine-style readers like Pulse or Google Currents), Pocket, Chrome to Android, Blik Calendar and Dropbox.

I tried color notes as well. In my previous Nokia phone whenever I set a reminder that would flash on the main screen/home screen. But with the android phone I find that it flashes only on the top of the mobile screen which I assume is the notification bar. Is there any reminder app which flashes on the complete screen or more than the notification bar and also I need a reminder app which has the feature wherein the reminder will go away only after we dismiss. I found this feature available only in Astrid.

i recently found the app video live wallpaper. It lets u shoot a video and use it as a live wallpaper. ON further note i use video maker to cut and edit my videos and make them as one file with fades inbetween and them use it as my backround. Works really well. Galaxy s2 sprint.
