Idk if anybody have this app or not but I figured I ask because apparently the developer to busy to answer questions on his on project. I have the Video caller id paid app and when I set up my contacts with a video it will ring with the video one time and the next time they call it goes back to the basic call screen. The second problem is, i can set a default video by downloading 1 or from video camera in the gallery of my own, but when i set the default video i want and when someone call me it shows as private number and the number doesn't appear, anyone know how to fix this?

i've had this app then deleted it, was laggy sometimes...
and sorry idk how to fix your problem.

I have a freshly factory-flashed Cricket Ascend and I am trying to find a Tethering app that works. I have rooted the phone, but when I try any of the Wi-Fi tethering apps, none of them even come close to letting my Win7 laptop connect to the AD-HOC. Can somebody please give me a working link for a version of the Wi-Fi tether app that works on 2.1-update1? I am stuck on a slow connection and can't seem to find one that works.

Thanks!

Install BARNACLE WI-FI TETHER from the ANDROID MARKET.
Once downloaded, go into the settings & check the box 'SKIP WPA SUPPLICANT' & then attempt to connect to your PC & you should be good to go.

If you guys didnt see,Really helpful for you ;) Here:
So i found out all you need to do is download either two apps:
Anti SMS Bomber
Thats the app that will stop duplicate messages from coming to you. Worked for me, and i treid it while texting someone for like 40 messages. You should try if you have this problem of getting 2 messages from the same person.
There is also a pro out there with more features.

+ 1

Nice find. I haven't had the dupe msg problems since cm7.2 0728.

But now that I've said that, I'll probably be needing this soon. LOL!

so im trying to save some battery to actually last me a whole day, and download JuiceDefender (which worked well in the past!) to turn off backround data, to take off wifi & the 1x sign. my question is, can i still recieve text and get calls when its off?

I don't think because that's your data. your basically turning off your service, so probably not. I haven't checked though.

Yeah, you do. That's the whole point of using JD instead of turning off your phone to conserve power.

the best App for me has to be ADW Launcher Ex (paid version), with it i had added a couple of themes, has many features like 4D scrolling on app drawer, screen transition effect which i love alot. & it runs really well with no hic-ups on the Ascend.

might try it out, thanks, but what do you mean 4D drawer? like the 3D drawer in LP (LauncherPro)?

So JD is bad for sms and receiving calls when you turn off backround data?

No, it still receives calls straight through. I use Voice, so I'm not sure about straight-to-phone texts. I believe they go right through, too, though I'm not sure, I never get them that way. JD will shut down your data, and turn it on for x amount of seconds every x minutes to check for updates, data waiting to dl, etc.
I'm actually not using it atm, though. When I was on CM7 0624 I was having an issue with it keeping 3G off even when awake. Guess I'll grab it, set it all up, and test it out on 0728 this week.

yeah, pretty much the same, i never had the paid version on LP just the free one. but on the market i notice that ADW is pretty much popular as far as using themes.

Ok, I've put on enough ROMs on now and started my phone fresh enough times that I finally have some app preferences that I feel good about...

Z4root and superuser - on CM7 I don't need these, but they ARE awesome.
Titanium Backup Pro (and now Titanium Media Sync, since I just wiped out my SD card) - God, what an app.
Juice Defender Ultimate - Greatest app ever. Honestly.
CacheMate - App Killers did me more harm than good, I came to realize.
Fancy Widget Pro - Beautiful Widgets finally drove me over the edge with the bugginess.
Power Widget - I REALLY like my giant PW options bar.
LauncherPro - Took me a bit to really give it an honest go. Now I must have it.
Opera - The only browser I can find that I can read all my online comics on in focus after expanding images. Plus, I like the speed, and don't need the Skyfire flash workaround.
eBuddy - I'm an IM whore.
Wheres My Droid - Found my phone in a friend's car couple weeks ago.
gReader Pro - Gotta have my feeds.
MailDroid - K-9 gave me more false new email notices with my half a dozen accounts, though I'm still looking for a better email client.
Google TV Remote - Hell, I reach for my phone before reaching for my Revue remote these days.
Google Maps - I live around DC. Traffic layer. Nuff said.
AdFree Android - I'll support on my own terms. I'm not shy to donate.
ChromeMarks, Evernote, Dropbox, WolframAlpha - Too handy not to have.
Flicks Watcher for Netflix - I check this daily. A complete list of new movies added to instant watch, and the ability to add them to my queue. That's it, but that's exactly what I want.

If I get no other apps, these are all I really need or want. Pretty much everything else is play time.

Hm, seems I've made some changes in my "must haves."

AdFree Android - After a while, when I wouldn't install this one, I noticed that I didn't notice I wasn't using it, really. I don't even bother with it anymore.
Power Widget - Don't use this anymore. I gave up the extra couple of options for speed by using the notification bar widget that comes with CM7.
Opera - Man, did THIS one really lag down my phone after a god-aweful update. I've been using stock browser since, though I've tried and liked Dolphin.
Beautiful Widgets - It runs smooth as butter these days.
BeyondPod + Pocket Casts - BeyondPod is amazing compared to gReader Pro for my print feeds, and Pocket Casts is equally as amazing for audio feeds.
Email - I've just been using the stock email client for a while now. I've come to realize I don't need amazing features, just the ability to read them and occasionally respond.
Volume+, Paid version (which is free at the developer's site.) - Volume issues are a thing of the past. I just had to learn to boost no more than I needed, for quality's sake.
ChromeMarks + PhoneMarks - ChromeMarks starts my browser straight to a bookmarked site, PhoneMarks syncs my bookmarks with my native browser, letting me choose which bookmarks get synced. I have about a thousand bookmarks strewn across folders, so I keep a separate bookmarks folder on my puter that I sync. I don't need all of them in my browser, just a select few. I use ChromeMarks to open the browser to any bookmark for faster linking, and Phonemarks for in-browser use so I don't have to exit to get to ChromeMarks.
News360 - A great time killer with video feeds that actually play. If someone knows a better news feeder, I'd like to see it.
AppsOrganizer - I've tried most I could find, but this is the one I'm having the best luck with, and no lag as long as I use shortcuts to folders instead of widgets. I keep shortcuts to the different folders in my dock, with starred apps at the top of the folder. Everything is organized and quick to get to from my home screen with no shortcuts on the home screen itself.
Netflix - I still use the original release that came out for 2.3, without updates. I don't need a fix for it to work as long as I never update it. When I get a update notification from Market in my bar, it's never in there. It asks if I want to update it when I open it, but that's it. I don't use it every day, so it's no big issue. Still working fine.

So, I've changed a few things, added a few things, but the rest still hold strong.

i read some where in this Forum that JD was bad for your phone as well as ATK.

I don't think so. ATK messes with the way Android performs the tasks it deems necessary to do. JD simply shuts down communication, opening it back up from time to time to check to see if anything needs to come in or out, staying open until running tasks are finished. I ran with it for quite a while, and my phone stayed synced all day with less battery loss than I normally had.

Agree. i feel the same way, the only thing i did with it is install a cust. notification tone to it:D
