Favorite apps for HUAWEI ASCEND users!

What's your favorite App from the Market? Also, it would be nice to tell us why! :)

Nope no Battery Saver Apps or anything like that. I did not remove any alarms either. I have the refresh set to every 15 minutes. However it keeps sticking and i essentially have to delete the gadget and then put it back on for it to keep working. Which kind of defeats the purpose of having it....Think i am going to try another clock widget and a seperate weather widget

yes try a different one, that app you have now might not be up to date.

If you're opting for separate clock & weather widgets,check out HONEYCOMB CLOCK in the ANDROID MARKET.

It also acts as a shortcut to your stock alarm app.

I opted for the PRO version,which has 21 different colors to choose from.

Tried a couple of different clock combo weather apps. Ended up deleting them all. Just use the standard clock, and went with Go Weather for weather updates. Am going to check out Honeycomb Clock to see what its about.
 
Hello fellow Ascend users! I have a minor problem with Launcher Pro. Currently, when I exit an app, Launcher Pro usually relaunches and has to load everything back up. It only happens once and a while, but it's pretty annoying. Is there a reason this might be happening, and has anyone else been having this problem?

Do you have LauncherPro on your SDcard? Or are you using a theme that you have on your SDcard? If that is the case, move the launcher and any themes you use to phone. Hope this helps.
 
this question is for anybody that knows information on honeycomb themes, ive installed all 3 honeycomb themes but my question is, there are screenshots on all 3 themes which have the main page and the icons with the application screenshot in the back on the main page with the clock on the side of it, the apps that are seen is browser, maps, gallery, settings in the theme chooser, how do i set up my home page like that or is it a work in progress because if i can set up my home page with my icons set like the screenshot setup for the honeycomb theme that would be awesome.
 
Are you using ADW if you are go in to ADW setting and click theme icons. Or search for the icon pack in the market. I think after you download the icon pack you install it in the theme Chooser.
 
You can also do the same with Launcher Pro. Just download the icon pack and apply it through the settings. Although I have had some icon packs crash Launcher Pro.. So make sure you have another launcher installed that you can switch to just in case. Lol.
 
New app to check your area for phone coverage. CARRIER COVERAGE is available for download via link in PHANDROID NEWS.
 
I use RSS feeds for a lot of sites, and for my Podiobooks.com downloads. So when I stumbled upon the BeyondPod application and tried it out, I was excited. It is a HUGE step up from Google Reader. If you use feeds on your phone, check it out.
 
Does anyone know of really good free TV / movie apps that can be found in the market?
Or somewhere (site, app,...) I can watch criminal minds?
And an app that can change your voice during a call.?

I like the Crackle app very much. For OLD movies try Movies on Android. TV.com (an app) is decent as well. All are very good, but limited, so you have to see if they're right for you.

By the way, I just wanted to say that my new favorite browser is Boat Browser Mini.

All are free in Market. Hope this helps!

crackle is not supported on this phone
 
I have the stock battery for the hauwei ascend and my phone is always dieing. It's not even 6 months old. Is there a top of the line battery I can buy that lasts longer? Thanks

No can do,I tried it w/the CRACKED ADOBE FLASH.I've only managed to get one or two sites w/FLASH content to work w/this modified(Cracked) app.
That's OK,though,it doesn't hurt to try.If it causes your browser to crash,just uninstall it 'til you're ready to try it out on another FLASH content app/website.

MANY THANKS for the suggested apps/sites.Will keep these in mind when I eventually move on to a full feature phone.
Until then,I'm content w/what I have,but,always keeping an eye on new smartphone releases/ROMS/apps.
