yeah when you select the market app, it will automatically update itself which in effect changed the theming. sometimes this will work: you can go to phone settings/applications/manage applications/ find the market and uninstall updates. if that works then go into titanium backup and long press the market and select detach from market. that way it will not update automatically. i was able to do this on a few roms.

I will give it a try, thanks for all your help today. So far I don't see alot of performance difference between Koni's elite and Kings r5. They are both good choices though. Thanks again.

KONI'S ELITE III - awesome ROM....

Thanks, I flashed koni's elite all went well. I noticed something odd. At first my market app. Was the black and white, now its blue and white...fine one min. Then when I opened market again, it was blue and white...any ideas?? I tried clearing cache, no change.

you can also use root explorer and rename the marketupdate.apk found in /system/app

I am still using the last stable Fresh, which runs with no issues.

Why is one market app version ("vending.apk", it seems) deemed better, or less dreadful, than another? My /system/app has the 2008 version, /data/app has 2011.

I don't think it has anything to do with being dreadful or one being better than the other. To me it's just personal prefrence. I love the black and white market better because it looks sharp to me. Silly I know, but that's me. Lol

If you're using clockwork recovery your nandroids are in the clockwork / backup folder. I use 2.6.xx cw recovery as well. I haven't had any problems I can blame on cw, so I still use it.

Same as the one you used on kings. The roms are similar. Net 4.3.x cfs havs sbc

Most sense roms use netarchy for custom kernel. Not a lot of options and all. There is only also king kernel and ziggy I think for sense base.

Thanks, I tried the netarchy havs more. And havs less. Everytime I turned my phone off or pulled the battery I would get frozen at the HTC screen, causing me to have reflash Rom. Odd. My luck I guess.lol. Maybe I will try havs no SBC. Thanks
