Find an accessory? Post here!

Several weeks ago when I first got my Skyrocket I was looking for a spare battery and a charger. I bought the battery (stock OEM Samsung 1850ma) from Amazon for $20. Didn't see much in the way of charging cradles. I found a company called RND power solutions, rndpowersolutions.com, that seemed to have a large variety of products. I did not see anything specific for the Skyrocket so I emailed them and asked what was available. The customer service rep said he thought the Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch charger would work, but had to check and would let me know in a few days. A week or two later I get an email saying they were shipping me a unit free for evaluation. All I needed to do was let them know how it worked. Bottom line is the cradle charger stand is very nice. Has a slot for the phone and for extra battery. Both fit snugly and charge in several hours. Its a nice looking cradle too. See the charger here:

If you're looking for an extra battery for your Skyrocket, I recently purchased on on Amazon for $25. I'm not sure this is the exact link I used, but it is the same battery. Amazon.com: Samsung 1850mA Li-Ion Standard Battery for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II Hercules T989: MP3 Players & Accessories

Its the Samsun1850 ma battery and fits my skyrocket just like the original. ITs sold for the T-Mobile Galaxy II Hercules (whatever that is). There are probably lots of third party batteries that will fit that are sold for other phones, but you'd have to do some research to figure out which is right for your phone.

I also bought a cheapo charger for the extra battery on Amazon $9.99,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B8ECR4/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details

Its a universal battery charger. The little slide moves back and forth to accommodate different battery sizes and you have to adjust the contacts to fit the your battery. Its a bit cheesy and if not connected right could potentially damage your battery, but I've had no trouble with it. It also comes with additional charging accessories for plugging the phone in to charge.

I just received the Otter-box Defender series for the Skyrocket (Black & Blue ), Fits great, doesn't make the phone too bulky or hard to get in and out of your pocket (still love the phone without any case). The only negative thing I would say about the case is that the plastic back is a little slippery but then if it had a rubber coating it would be hard to get in and out of my pocket. Rating scale to five I would give it 4 1/2.

I just bought this...

Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket AT&T I727 Silicone Gel Black Case Cover Cases Covers | eBay

I couldnt beat the 5 dollar price haha, but I am worried it may not fit. says its not compatible with galaxy S2 HD LTE.

I have the LTE rogers version. It looks like all the holes are in the correct areas so I am not sure why it couldnt fit? not sure what the HD means (high definition??)

just got this gel case today.. amazing. fits great and looks good and is not bulky at all. all the holes line up too.

there is one extra hole though just above where the volume up and down button is that is open that doesnt have to be there.. wonder what that is for??? other than that. exact match up

edit: oh crap they must be sold out.. maybe you can find it else where under that name.. but I fully recommend it! :)

edit #2: this link works as far as I know and is the right case

I don't like belt clips and i don't like casemate style cases cause it makes the phone bulky, and with the size of the phone i don't need it to be any wider.. I like my invisible shield and a pouch of some sort..

Finding a pouch was a mission (without a belt clip), finally found one at those mall kiosks and the strap on top is cool cause it secures the phone when inside, and when u want to take it out u just pull it and the phone pops out ; >

I had to cut out the speaker piece

and i was at the mall on christmas eve and Ghost Armour just got their Skyrocket Shield in so i got them to install it since with the new baby at home i don't have much time..

now the phone is the way i like it, scratch protected and when i put it in my pocket it's protected as well..

Anyone know any good full body protectors that are anti-fingerprint/matte? I'd prefer not to buy SGP Ultra Matte and Ultra fine just to have both sides anti-fingerprintable.

They sell these same ones at Cell City (the mall near my house)

Nice.

Not a bad little case. It adds some "grip" to the phone without adding too much bulk, is a bit different than the standard black cases, and it lets my white SR show through.

I like the Diztronic I bought, but I definitely have no complaints on this one for $3.19.

That's just like the 6 for $12 we got

This looks promising...

http://shop.igrip.us/arkon-slim-grip.../3A78A9260.htm

It looks very simple (which is usually better). It allows the cables (power and audio) to hook directly to the phone because of the adjustable "arms" that hold the phone in place (or so the manufacturer claims).

If it works as claimed, $12.95 can't be beat.

I currently use the Infuse dock in my car for the SkyRocket. Overall I am very happy with it. However, I recently purchased an active case from Seidio and I have to take the case off to put the phone into the dock. The TPU case I was using fit, but it was tight and the USB plug didn't line up with the case on.

The Arkon holder looks like it should work with the case. Let me know if you try it or have tried it.

My friend got two .. uses one on his desk and one in his car

He loves them and I have to say it is most likely the slimist and sturdiest I have seen

just picked up the crazy hug otterbox at att...
$50

very bulky but very protective. I am tired of not having a case so it was this or bright, hot pink barely there case.

the lack of accessories for this phone is killing me.

previously I was using the seido innocase for an epic touch, which is slightly loose, and the line out is not in the same place lol

OB makes three cases for the SR:

Samsung Galaxy S II SkyRocket Cases // OtterBox.com

Mine rides in the Commuter as have my previous two phones. The cheapest on is just a gel liner. Your Defender is the top of the line which is great for people, like my girlfriend, who is prone to dropping her phone twice a day or throwing it across the room... did I mention ex-girlfriend? The Commuter is a combination of a gel inner lining which provides some shock absorption inside a hard, outer shell. Very nice and adds very little bulk.

I kept mine about a week or so. Rocking a sprint case that I modified with a dremel or tpu case depending on how violent I feel :p

I noticed last week that best buy finally got in some seido cases

Yikes. Way over priced for what you get. No thanks, at least for me. You could buy about 2 original batteries for that, or one original battery/charger combo from Samsung for that price... My vote would be no, but that's just my opinion...

That's what I was thinking (It's not much of a jump) it's a 12% increase.

Now if it was a 2500 mAh battery then maybe.

I'm guessing it's just a matter of time before someone will make a much larger battery.
