Root Flash-able Punisher Theme

This package is the Punisher Theme and it is flash-able. It makes any Rom look like the theme on Punisher.

Good if you don't want to have to change ROMs but really like the look of Punisher.

About this last pic. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what the name of the .png file is for the grey bar that says Ongoing. In my Frunisher version of this theme, that bar is black and I prefer it to be black. I just can't figure out what the name of the .png file is that determines that color bar. Anyone know the name?


EDIT: Forgot the link for anyone who wants to try this theme. It is a work in progress because porting it from another ROM was not as seemless as I hoped. It might not be a theme you use for everyday use because there are some color issues in some spots that i'm still working out.

Make sure to do a nandroid backup.
It's flashable right from recovery.
No need to wipe anything in my experience.
You will need to turn off verification.

I've been working at flashable replacement sliders. I have one right now that should work, it will give you Velocity v1.1 stock theme with Frunisher bullet sliders. I'm trying to make one that won't override the already existing theme.

VelocityMorph? then just replace the jog_tab pngs.
 
I don't know how to make a VelocityMorph zip.

Bad news, I have just switched to the Droid (I WANT TO KILL IT), so I won't be able to test VelocityMorph or anything Velocity related.

I miss my Ally :(

I just got my Droid 2, it is a beast! Don't really miss the Ally, but I am disappointed at the lack of community involvement for the Droid 2. The development support is there. But, it's definitely different from this community.
Let me know if I can help you out with your Droid, still learning, but I'm already rooted running the Liberty 2.0 ROM, OD"d to 1.3GHz, with netflix installed an running cherry.
I have found droidforums.com to be pretty helpful, albeit not as much community.

Hey D2A, this is a bit of an odd request, but I am a fan of the Bullet shell pulls from Frunisher. It would be really awesome if I could get them onto my Droid 2 (would also look amazing with my theme).
First would you give me permission to use them?
Second, how would I go about getting them and applying them?

FlyinJoe13 Gave me what I was lookin for. That was the Original Punisher theme. If anyone wants it I will bet ya hed hook ya up. (Punisher 0.1) The Sleek Black look. NO Bullet pulls.

Joe if I spoke out of turn here I am sorry. Lemme know and I will take this down.
 
No problems. I can give anyone who wants it a copy as long as it's okay with Death. I even have a flashable version of my alternate Punisher theme with numbered battery icons if anyone wants to try that. It's basically the original Punisher theme with some changes to the notification bar icons to better match Death's original black\silver\red look.
 
Flyinjoe13 you can distribute. its being put into velocity morph as I type. SWC2001 if you have the original Punisher0.1 theme in a zip id like to have that so i/or someone else can put it in a morph. will be giving credits to both of you

**EDIT**I guess we can also give my wife a little credit.
She wanted that original punisher theme and asked me to find it for her.

In my oppinion shes right. Its the best theme the Ally has ever seen.
 
I can add bullet pulls to original, if requested.
Creating vMorph for 1.x now.

BTW...little taste of the fullPunisher theme port.

So... it would be so awesome if I could borrow the lock screen pulls. I still haven't heard from anyone .... I am on a GB rom now so I am not sure if I even can. But, it would make my phone so sexy!

just find a stock theme and replace the same-named icons with these: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2385853/Android/Favors/kccole/framework-res/framework-res.zip

Just merge the res folder with the ones inside your framework-res.apk

I wish you guys were working on this phone. The community for the Driod is not quite the same as for the Ally.

Update: did ot quite work. probably would have been fine if this ROM was a little closer to AOSP, the Blur pulltabs are still there.... looks like I'm going to have to find the right framework.
 
Keep 'em coming! Making a full punisher theme from all these variations, as well as vMorphs for all of them. So... carry on men!

Without a doubt this is hands down the BEST theme the ally has seen up to today!!!

Death with out your original this would not be possible. I would tell you that your awesome but it would just go to your head. :D
