Root Flashable Baseband?

my prevail, due to some sort of accident i guess a file was corrupt. has no baseband. its not getting a cell phone signal (it just shows an x) and whne i try to go to settings >> about phone >> status >> it force closes saying "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly). please try again.

i tried a couple different roms, i repeatedly did different Odin files to recover and its different rom, same problem each time.
 
sry, should have been more clear, just figured the that links would point out, like optimus said, that even some strong google-fu cant help. you need a program/utility that we do not posses (yet?)
 
oh i see.

well i dont have the original packaging, i dont have the receipt. its rooted and with a custom rom.

all i remember is i got it from best buy, i believe i used my rewards zone card so it should show up in there system. i dont think its still under warranty though because i dont remember when i bought it.
 
Samsung has the purchase/activation date ect on file. you can still use odin, so odin to stock ej06.... call samsung. tell them your problem. they will send you a shipping label and then you just wait... i didnt need any receipt to send in my gfs phone... they had all the info. give it a shot. worst that can happen is they say no... but at least you can say you tried...
i sent them just the phone, bubble wrapped, in a cardboard box, without original packaging.
 
alright cool. ill odin tonight and ill call samsung in the morning.
actually if its a year warantee, it would still be under warantee cuz the job i have i havent worked there for a year yet and i used a paycheck from that to go to that phone so ill do that.

will they send me just the phone or would it be new packaging and everything?
 
have not gotten it back yet. idk... scheduled repair completion date 2/2/12... (they said 11-17 days from day you ship :eek: )
 
thats pretty cool but it dont look legit. i can access my download mode without paying $5 lol

but as of right now i have odind to stock ej05 and i didnt realise until now that it was stuck in airplane mode (while everyone was talking about airplane mode i thought it would show a pic of an airplane where signal bar should be)
im going to call samsung tomorrow and see if they can replace it

The prevail didnt hit the shelves until mayish time frame last year there will not be any that are not covered under warranty yet.:D
 
true. i talked to a samsung rep on web chat. he had me do a few things, all failed.
so he suggested me call samsung voice customer service team.

i odind earlier. only problem is when i did a factory reset, clockwork mod is still installed. i need to get rid of it! lol
 
i know there is a stockrecovery.zip SOMEWHERE on this forum, but for the life of me i cant find it...

just use odin back to unrooted ej06
