no mine seems to be fine, i talk to wife 5-6 times a day and for my full 30 min lunch and surf web and forums and maps and other stuff and my battery always makes it all day every dayIdk if anyone noticed this or happened to them..
But after flashing (since the first time) my battery ended up feeling crappy.
And Ive seen other people complain bout it.
But that's after flashing roms.
Did it happen to anyone else right off the bat?
yes reboots and restores or anything in cwm really drains battery!! don't know why except for has to really work to do what you are asking to do.I don't know about just flashing ROMs but every time that I enter and use the features in CWM it drains the hell outta my battery. It's funny you mentioned this because a friend and i were just discussing this the other day.

Yeah. I mainly see the drain I. CWM.
I could have a 50% charge and end with 10% in 15 min.
CWM drains it yes.
But does being In CWM affect battery performance as well?
Wear n tear kinda deal

I wouldn't think so. If you getting bad battery life I would cycle the battery. Let it run completely down til it cuts off and then charge it all the way. Do that a couple of times and I guarantee you'll see better results.![]()
CWM drinks the juice. I realized a short time ago that one reason could be that the screen stays on the entire time.
Plus, as mentioned there is a lot of I/O happening.

CWM also doesn't have any low battery shutdown "protection"
Hence why I'll use CWM for cycling my battery. Once the phone shuts down from a CWM drain, it's not coming back on, not without about 30 seconds on the charger. I also turn the phone back on asap so that the phone's power consumption slows the battery charge cycle, like a ghetto trickle charge![]()
Is it okay to let your phone shut off while in clockwork mod without telling it to do so
That gives a lot of simple yet precise explanationsNo, flashing does not affect your battery in any way. No, CWM is not the cause of drain when you reboot to recovery, do something real quick, and lose 40% of your battery. That's an Android glitch with the temperature readings of the battery tricking it into believing there is less/more voltage than there actually is. A quick fix is to reboot on a charger which sets it back to the correct voltage reading. Yes, CWM does use a fair bit of battery though because as far as I know the cpu doesn't scale in recovery. It stays at max if I'm not mistaken.
