Root Flashing stock recovery

By clicking unlook root it redirect me to install driver again and again.

please check all the procedure you done verify all one by one

1. Download jdk 32bit only from here, Android sdk from here, Unlock root from here, adb_usb.ini from here and A87 drivers from here.
2. Install jdk
3. install Android sdk, after installing open sdk manager form star and select "android sdk platform-tools" and "google usb driver" unselect the rest, click install packages. After installing put the adb_usb.ini file in "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android"
4. Now on your phone goto settings>applications>development>enable usb debugging and connect usb cable, it should say usb debugging mode and show a little green android icon on the topleft (if not then reinsert cable or re enable usb debugging)
5. Windows will detect the device, let it stabilize then extract A87 drivers to a location say "C:/drivers"
6. Now goto start type "device manger" open device manager, you wil find "android adb interface" right click upgrade drivers and lead it to a location of your extracted drivers, do the same with other devices you get with an exclamation icon. (dont worry if you dont find other devices, its fine)
7. Install Unlock root, open it and click root, it wil ask for the device select micromax A87 and Your done !!!

Can you give me a direct link for that I cant update it from pc due to lack of internet. Yesterday night I format my pc for win7. Before that in xp the unlock root was uptodate
. I will def. Try with latest unlock + win7.

No way man. In normal mode when phone is connected,my device manager shows "ANDROID COMPOSITE ADB INTERFACE"and fastboot mode by v- ... p it shows "android ADB device". Latest version pof unlock root fails to instlall driver-only this option it shows when i try to root with it in normal mode.is it poss to click unlock root in fastboot mode,as android adb interface only detected in that mode.

Why shoud i go for stock rom, when i have that already with me. Better you suggest any other tool like unlock root for me.this time driver is loaded by clicking unlock root.but option for driver comes even after succeful its own driver installation.
I am also surprised.see the two different id ,one in fastboot m and another in normal mode.

ok i got ur problem ,this is the issue with adb one
install this soft and then try again
this one worked for me
http://pdanet.co/bin/PdaNetA350.exe

I tried with pdaNet on xp, same result. During installation of PDANet which driver option should i choose? If sdk is already installed, then drivers are loaded from /google/extra folder instead of PDANet. I think prob is from adb_usb.ini file.Because PDANet can push pdanet.apk,pdabase.apk into the ph.i.e adb works for it. But sdk adb could not recognice device. Thats way unlock root asks for driver installation and fails. Can anybody suggest any way ?

Hey Guys..

I have been noticing that a lot of you are trying to install CWM on your phone.

Unfortunately there is no version out there which works on our phone. Will have to wait till someone ports it for our device.

Now for all of you who have screwed up your recovery. Here is the guide to flash the stock recovery

Download recovery - recovery.img

1. Make sure you have ADB or the SDK installed.

If you have rooted your phone successfully then you must have it installed.

2. Download the files from this link : platform-tools.rar

3. Extract the downloaded file to a location of your choice

for example - D:\SDK

4. Now go the folder, press the shift button and right click. You would see an option 'Open command prompt here' - click that to open command prompt.

5. Connect your phone switched off to the pc and press the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds. You should see the micromax logo.

6. In command prompt type "fastboot devices" without quotes and hit enter.

7. you should see something like

List of devices attached
XXXXXXXXXX device

8. Now copy the recovery.img to the same folder you had extracted the files earlier.

9. In the command prompt window, type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" without quotes and hit enter

10. After you get a confirmation that flash is successful.

11. Remove the phone and boot into recovery. VOILA!! stock recovery :D

Show your appreciation.. Hit the thanks button..

hello, i am new to this forum...had bought a87 3days ago..and have succesfully rooted..really wish to hav custom roms..wishing all the best to the developers here :)

hey my adb icon doesn't show up on my android while connected to my win xp sp3 pc
I have installed the drivers. the adb composite device shows up in my pc's device manaer but not on my a87
only usb connected comes up

so I tried using terminal emulator to flash the recovery.img
but while flashing the phone hangs for 1 sec
shows a white screen for 2 secs
and then reboots normally without any change to the cwm or corrupt rom

umn I have finished the job. the problem was sim 1
I switched my sim to sim 2 (because the phone doesn't seem to unlock unless it has network<corrupt recovery>)
then I used terminal emulator and used the same code

flash_image recovery
then I got back my cwm :)
but now a new problem arouse

MY SIM 1 IS DISABLED AND IF I TRY AND ENABLE IT THEN IT CRASHES SAYING "com.android.phone has shut down unexpectedly "
now I cant run sim 1
but I can run sim2
this means I have lost my 3g capacity. T.T
