Root Flashing stock recovery

hey my adb icon doesn't show up on my android while connected to my win xp sp3 pc
I have installed the drivers. the adb composite device shows up in my pc's device manaer but not on my a87
only usb connected comes up

so I tried using terminal emulator to flash the recovery.img
but while flashing the phone hangs for 1 sec
shows a white screen for 2 secs
and then reboots normally without any change to the cwm or corrupt rom

umn I have finished the job. the problem was sim 1
I switched my sim to sim 2 (because the phone doesn't seem to unlock unless it has network<corrupt recovery>)
then I used terminal emulator and used the same code

flash_image recovery
then I got back my cwm :)
but now a new problem arouse

MY SIM 1 IS DISABLED AND IF I TRY AND ENABLE IT THEN IT CRASHES SAYING "com.android.phone has shut down unexpectedly "
now I cant run sim 1
but I can run sim2
this means I have lost my 3g capacity. T.T

Dude a couple of questions for you..

1. Why would need the stock recovery when you have CWM?
2. Have you tried Fastboot?

1.'Cause my current rom is corrupt.

my sim 1's disabled. shows deactived under notifications and serching for network on the lock screen. I tried to switch on and off via the turn on/off radio on *#*#4636#*#*

no use. if I try enabling sim 1, it crashes and says

"Sorry!
com.android.phone not responding."

and I have to force close it.

2.
yes. I run win xp sp3 I tried doing the
fastboot devices but it just chages the line and no reaction.
it doesn't seem to work. but I can install apk files or pull and push using the adb pull or adb push or adb install on CMD

Yes,
it was only lately I realized that the stock rom I had was not corrupt but my sd card was full so it was unable to extract. :P

Credit: itzmiandy for creating this. I have just created an installer.

Created an easy Installer for installing stock Recovery.
Those who find it difficult for flashing through fastboot.

Steps:

1 Load all MMX drivers on ur pc which we call adb drivers.
2 Setup fastboot mode on your handset

Setting up fastboot:

Turn Device off
Volume Down button + Power ON button for 10 Sec
This will show fastboot mode is on.
(If ADB Drivers not installed, kindly do so by checking device manager if it shows some yellow esclamation)

3. How to Install ?

Extract all files from zip
U will see file named "Install recovery.bat."
Run that file and now plug MMX A87 to usb cable (it must be in fastboot mode as we did before)
Follow instructions on the dos screen to make it load recovery.
Your Mobile will reboot after installation is finished

Hey Guys..

I have been noticing that a lot of you are trying to install CWM on your phone.

Unfortunately there is no version out there which works on our phone. Will have to wait till someone ports it for our device.

Now for all of you who have screwed up your recovery. Here is the guide to flash the stock recovery

Download recovery - stock recovery.img

1. Make sure you have ADB or the SDK installed.

If you have rooted your phone successfully then you must have it installed.

2. Download the files from this link : platform-tools.rar

3. Extract the downloaded file to a location of your choice

for example - D:\SDK

4. Now go the folder, press the shift button and right click. You would see an option 'Open command prompt here' - click that to open command prompt.

5. Connect your phone switched off to the pc and press the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds. You should see the micromax logo.

6. In command prompt type "fastboot devices" without quotes and hit enter.

7. you should see something like

List of devices attached
XXXXXXXXXX device

8. Now copy the recovery.img to the same folder you had extracted the files earlier.

9. In the command prompt window, type "fastboot flash recovery stock recovery.img" without quotes and hit enter

10. After you get a confirmation that flash is successful.

11. Remove the phone and boot into recovery. VOILA!! stock recovery :D
