Root Flashing stock recovery

And by the way I tried using Terminal Emulator and used the commands : su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
reboot recovery..
The phone rebooted and the logo came and it switched off! Wat to do now! ??

Hey Guys,

This is the stock rom for the A87..

I do not have the time now to write the guide to flash it..

Try searching the web to find out how to flash via FASTBOOT..


TIP: This phone will not boot into the fastboot mode..but will be stuck at the superfone logo.. When you check "fastboot devices", you will see the phone getting listed.

To boot to fastboot mode, connect the phone to the pc, hold the volume down and power for abou 10-15 seconds..
 
Are the files posted after rooting? And btw donno how to recover FASTBOOT thinggy! And which file should I flash to get back my recovery?

Hey thats gud to hear...

Just let us know if you are able to boot into recovery...

If you are able to boot into recovery then its custom ROM time...;)

I am working on something.. but I do not have the device so anybody willing to test ROMs??

Requesting the mods to move this thread to the all things root section. I really do not want to start another thread.. Please

I saw a lot of people complaining about screwing up their recovery but looks like there is only one who has successfully flashed the stock recovery..

Where are the others??

Now who wants a custom Rom?

I dont have the phone and I need people to test..
 
i would love to test custom rom ,count me in?
is that recovery.img containts that <3e> version?
and also guide me how to make img files from phone

I will release ROMs when quite a few need it.

Hey itzmiandy I am redy to test your relased roms for A87,

please makes some changes in the rom,
- remove all stock bullshit from micromax
- install lighter version of evrything possible (as i want my ram to be free)
- any workaround for extra free ram or better memory management would be appreciated

These img files you have given are stock imgs this is <3e> version of recovery, which works but it does not hav an option to backup, thats y i had tried installing a newer version of CWM
 
I TESTED MY PHONE TODAY IT IS SUCCESS BUT NOT SHOWING ADB DEVICES , Adb devices
list is empty, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img is working , running two lines writing and complete- sending 'recovery' 4550 kb okay writing 'recovery ' oky finished total time 4.130s

ADB mode does not work when the phone is in the fastboot mode..

Press the volume up and power button and enter the recovery mode (If your recovery is corrupt, it will be stuck in the boot logo), connect to the pc and try "adb.exe devices" in the command prompt and you will see the device getting listed.
 
My phone not stuck in to boot logo, just i am test your method , device manager adb android driver not installed . But flash working ''
 
How to assign swap file to \data partition to increase swap file size , i dont want use sd card it's slow , i have 60 mb free in internal storage any idea , ramexpander not use use sd card location as \data i already changed read write permission for \data partition , please guide any one thanks
 
I have had a problem a friend of mine rooted my ninja 4 and removed god knows what software from it and now i cannot start my phone and i am currently not in India so cant go to a micromax service center can you please help me as to how will i format and re install the entire phone with the original a87 software i am an amateur in android usage so please try to be simple

or is it possible that someone can send me their backed up drivers and i can just install it
i tried to press the volume up key and start my phone i think that wiped my phone clean and now the phone starts but there is no home page no applications nothing
please please help i am badly in need of a solution thanks
