Root Flashlight Problem After Upgrading To GingerBread - Help Please

Now this is really frustrated.. I downgraded to original Stock and it was unrooted but the problem was still there..

this sounds like a hardware error not a software one, sounds like the device has a fault with the physical camera. if you have tried all roms and its the same we know its not a software issue

The flash was working fine before I upgarded 2.2 to 2.3. I just upgraded to 2.3 and the flash gone dead then I rooted 2.3 and tried all the customs roms and with the help of you guys I just un-rooted it and downgraded to 2.2 official rom via RUU but the problem is still there.

Maybe, you are right its the hardware not the software thing !!

indeed, i think its coincidence that it happened as you upgraded to 2.3 there should be no change within the software versions
the only other think i could advise you try is flashing a different (older froyo) radio via fastboot as you are still s-off
be warned if a flash of radio goes wrong it can be a complete brick with no return.

you would flash this with fastboot flash radio radioimagename.img (where it says radioimagename that is whatever the radio is called)
usually the radios come packaged in a flashable zip so just unzip it and then flash the image manually

again its a risky procedure even though the failure rate is very small
