Root flashlight switch in notification bar

the on/off button in the notification bar doesnt work anymore. tried restoring, reinstalling, cache wipe dalvik cache (the wipes didnt seem necessary, but tried it anyways)

seems kinda like thats the fly in the ointment.... ive d/l'ed a new flashlight app (cuz i couldnt find torch on the market) and i found torch in TiB.... i wasnt sure if it was built into the rom somehow or what the dilly was.

What rom are you running currently? I think it is a part of the CM7 roms that are out. Kings GBR2 shows it in the app drawer.

you might try and reflash the rom without wiping anything to see if that fixes it.

hey man, im a sound tech on the weekends for a local live music production co. and do sound at my church, and i cant tell you how many times the flashlight has come in handy yo! Yes i have a few flashlights that i use for that stuff, but theyre not always in a convenient place, even tho i have a belt holster for a couple of em. but havent you ever set something down in a place where you cant reach it? yes matt, its a silly quibble, but i like having it so :P

yep, im on cm7 and its been working fine since i flashed it originally. ill try a fresh install again. gracias senor :)

LoL it got slow :P and yeah, i guess i wasnt looking at the convo from that angle either, but now that i know what matt is on about, that made me literally lol too!! and matt once said that hes not sarcastic, PSHAW!!!! :P oh, and reflashing my rom didnt work. im currently on the kings gb neon cm7 version that matt posted the other day.... worked at first, but doesnt now even with a fresh install... and ive done the clean slate install too (cache wipes)

oh and torch shows in my TiB as backed up, but not restorable.... so that would seem as tho its not deleted.

try this one...?

I didnt see torch in kings system apps or in gapps, i pulled it from a different cm build i have on my card

Edit: Dont flash that lol extract the apk from it, didnt realize i could upload an apk or what size limits are for them...

im witcha now man lol yeah, when i mentioned not being able to find it in TiB, i meant that its not deleted. doing 5 things at once lol

lol thats the torch i got from the market, is there a way to assign the button in the notification bar to turn it on and off? again, a small quibble, but convenient

DANGIT!! lol i liked the old torch better than the one i got from the market(same as the one you posted)

edit: perhaps tonight ill try n open up a rom zip and extract the torch im currently missing, however id still like the ability to toggle on/off from notification bar

It should work with torch...is it not toggling? have you checked the cm7 notification toggle settings?

yes i do have work to do but they gave me a project and told me it should take 2 weeks and i looked and it will take me 2 hours so i have free time to harass you guys, thank you!
