yes
but your contacts are stored with gmail servers so when you sign back in they will be brought back.
your apps are also linked to your gmail account so when you go back to market they usually will be available as well.

I am not going to tell you its impossible however its such a remote unlikely chance that is is barely in consideration.:D

Also recently found that lgnpst keeps a copy of all your information just incase so if you did mess up its fixable
 
hello, umm i have the lg optimus m with 2.2.2 new and i just want to know if i will loose service by doing this becuase on my other phone (which is also 2.2.2) i lost service. Please answer Thanks In Advance :)

You wont lose service. Its just changi g 2.2.2 to 2.2.1 do the steps from new optimus carefully
