I just upgraded to my EVO, well back in June and the phone I came from HAD the option to roam only. I really miss it. :(

Developers... App to toggle PRL's for forced roaming? - Page 2 - xda-developers

I tried to attach the zip, was too big for this forum. Flash it via recovery. Don't forget, make a nandroid backup.

No need for a hack! There's a new app in the Market called "Roam Control" and it seems to work just fine.

The only limitation is that you have to be rooted to use it.

You can switch back and forth realtime and no rebooting required. Only short coming is no PRL control and the fact that it's $4. But if you really need it then it's probably worth $4! :D

Can anyone else confirm how well this works? This might be nice, especially onsidering I am switching PRLs a lot.
(force roam while at home - Sprint while out)

Just really depends on the source....some articles claim this cap only in place for mobile broadband cards....others include 3g phones ....sprint personel don't seem to know as I have seen them give both answers. The consensus has been use at your own risk.....most likely one will receive a warning text or letter before cancellation or charges
