Interesting ... That post above ^^^^ was made from the app, but it doesn't show in the app (for me), only here. Tried refreshing the thread, but it's not there.
 
Hey not to change the subject.
But does inactivity cost a loyal fan with a long history with you guys to go back to 'new member' status?
Because I tried for years to get away from the 'newbie' stigma!

I saw your support email come in this morning and have it marked to follow up with. I need to take a look at your account but inactivity should not affect your member status or rank.

@Phases may be able to help check this out too.

Your member status does say Android Expert, are you expecting something different or were you referring to your rank? I need to verify the rank yet.

Are you seeing something different.. Maybe in the app?

I thought I responded to this but I guess I just thought about it :)

...I will test some lower sdks...I would guess this is resolved if you implement the emoji support lib from Google. Yes, this actually exist.

In the app or the browser?

Plus, it's more than just emoji. Hyperlinks ans special characters are also confused between app and browser.

@Steve, I noticed that members the haven't posted in a long time don't get ranked and don't show up in user tagging.

From my phone, in the AF app, it says 'new member'.
I think I was a 'senior member'.

I might have missed it but to save me backtracking post by post to possibly no avail, what is the algorithm for determining the 'Rank'?

This is a very good app, but I have come across a few bugs and annoyances, like when you're scrolling, you can't unless you put your finger under the topic name and color. Also, it crashes if you put only a picture and no text. Something I think this app really needs is a way to delete posts without having to ask mods to do it. And also if you edit your post, you can't edit out images. Another bug is after you edit a post, it disappears until you reload. Reloading is also annoying because you have to go all the way to the top and then swipe down. Also, when you are already in the app and press a notification from a post, it usually doesn't go to the post, it seems like it only does if you hold down on it for a second, or tap on it in a certain spot for some reason. And from my knowledge you already know this, but emojis are glitched. I'd like to be able to put any emoji in a post, but people say they appear as random characters. And sometimes it doesn't show the option to go to a different page, for some reason depending on how you got to the thread.
 
Another thing I found annoying was that pressing the bold or italic or any button like that doesn't change anything.
