Help Found:Working Version of Adobe Flash player for Previal!

The other thing I noticed that showed it was not using flash player is that when you go into settings and look at the flash player under the installed apps list, I noticed that flash player did not use any cache, it was still at 0, which meant it had not been used to play anything. The main thing though is that it will not play any videos with the web page in tact, the media player always opens up. I just wish this thing worked. :(

Not sure what else you could try. Even without the browser I Can still use tinyshark to stream music and I've tried playing flash files with the various players. All of them seem to work just fine so far, just a few with bad quality (Half green, half purple video).
 
This works on my new rooted prevail and now I can finally listen to TinyShark from the market. I know I gave a thanks already but again, thank you for this!
 
Works great for me. Still get the occasional half green half purple thing, but that's ok.

Finally got around to installing this tonight. installed TinyShark and it detects it and works fine. used Dolphin HD and no problems. There is a Flash Test on YouTube and that worked also.

Do not forget to restart your phone after install. I forgot and had some problems with Dolphin. After the reboot all was well.

But Seriously Folks, I found some flash video sites that are not porn related and they worked fine. I have had no problems.

After reading this thread , it seems that it's something in the Shabbymods that are preventing it from working (stagefright) . No biggie because I don't visit flash sites on my phone very often . :D
 
I dont think its shabbymod, cause I'm not using it, and I believe most of the guys that are using the player aren't either. The OP stated he was using a build prop from shabbymod which has stage fright enabled, but it still works for him. I Don't know what the deal is?

Yeah , I don't either . I'l just wait til the gurus figure it out . There will be a thread on here sooner or later explaining it . :)

You might want to give it another try, Biker. It does work. I did not really think that I would use it much, but actually it has worked out to be pretty cool. You can use TinyShark to test it or just go to Youtube. They have some Flash test videos. I have used it with the Stock Browser and also with Dolphin HD.

It is a big app so I moved it to System Rom using Titanium. Shabby may want to include it in 1.0

ive been trying to get this to work on my prevail with no luck ... i was reading in the posts it might be shabbymob but i never seen anyone flat out say that

So i decided to give this another try. I have tried several times and it hasn't worked till now.

I am running shabbymod .9

Not sure if this had anything to do with it working this time but this is what i did.

I know its working b/c i can now go to Flash Player Version Check
and it shows i have flash version 10.1.106.15. Says my PC is running 10.3.181.36.

Also tinyshark is working and it did not work before.

Before I tried installing flash again, I remembered using blade buddy and seeing stagefright as an option that you can enable.

So i enabled 2 things: (media.stagefright.enable-player) and (media.stagefright.enable meta). I also had debug.sf.hw enabled as well. I then let bladebuddy reboot the phone to enable these changes.

I then re-downloaded and re-installed flash using the QR code in this thread
rebooted, and it worked.
 
It works.

First I downloaded tiny shark and it said i couldn't use it cause i had no flash. I removed it and downloaded flash from link above. I rebooted my phone, than reinstalled tiny shark and bang, its working. I also check a couple of sites I dare not mention which now run smooth like silk. I am rooted with shabbymod .8 slim. and EE14. I also used the stock browser. I know some people have had problems with it, it does state that it works best with dolphin and it doesn't work with opera. although we are useing Armv6 it just may not be 100% compatible.
 
Yep. It will work with the stock browser (or at least the one in Shabbymod 0.9). i do like Dolphin HD better though.
