Root Frankenrom is alive.

with your newest kernel release.

First I'm still getting download hangups in the market, It's happened with every 2.2 ROM I've used. It's not a deal breaker but it is frustrating.

I get the hang-ups also, but it is a small price to pay for all the other goodies. IMHO.

FrankenROM w/ Newest Kernel:

Up Time:
25:10:40

Awake Time:
3:45:30

Battery % Left:
35%

That's while on wifi the whole time, with fairly heavy battery use when awake. Not bad I must say. I'll have to see how it does without wifi the next couple days.

Had no problem installing Frankenrom Alive today with .79 hboot. Just a few minutes ago I tried to flash Fourth Wave and gave me an out of space error. Every other 2.2 ROM has worked but this and I'm not messing the hboot up just to get this.

Yeah and 3rd the boot animation. Love it!

I'm pretty sure that Fourth Wave is the only ROM that seemed to need .92 HBOOT.

It's the only one I've seen in looking at all I could find that made any reference to needing it or erroring without it. :p Thatsanogo for me.

Anyone else notice the alarm shuts itself off. This could be a deal breaker for me...ill be late for work. I set alarm it goes off but if i leave it when I come back the pop-up is there with only option to push is dismiss. I'm a heavy sleeper so I would need it to keep going off till I get up. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I have multiple alarms set usually about 10-15 minutes apart so I can't sleep through all of them. Even had it on the iphone. At some point its irritating enough to just get up instead of constantly turning them off.

Ok so I figured it out, the alarm will shut off after 10 minutes if you don't hit anything. I will just set a few alarms. This seems to be a OS thing and has nothing to do with FRANKENROM!!

FRAnKenROM is ALIVE!!

One issue with this rom, wondering if anyone else has had it.
Sound from the back speaker sounds very tinny and crappy. Notifications, ringtones etc that I've had before on other roms just sound downright bad. The rom I had right before the 4th wave, sounded just fine.

Other than that and the alarm clock not popping up with a dismiss/snooze option, have to shut the phone off to silence it everything is great.

My sounds are fine.

And my alarm works as it should as well. When the alarm goes off I have the option to Snooze or Dismiss and both options work as they should.

Are you by any chance experimenting with different kernals or overclocking?

Just trying to help you figure this out, have you installed any theme or special taskbar or anything like that?

Have you restored any data from a backup of a prior ROM?

If you have, I would do a nan backup and re-install the ROM fresh. Then try it before you install anything or restore anything.

It's strange that you're having problems and I am not. I haven't noticed anyone else posting about your issue either.

It really sounds like something you installed may have broken it.

Thanks.
I restored data for handcent and k9 mail for my settings.
Other than that I installed a vanilla lock screen that adr Posted on one of his rom threads and launcher pro. I believe that is the extent of my changes. I was thinking about backing up and re flashing the rom. I may give it a try this evening.

These speakers are pretty flaky. It is also possible that you have a hardware issue that just happened to occur when you switched roms.

I think that's what I would do, good luck and I hope that fixes it for you.

That could very well be, there are posts everywhere about blown speakers.
