Accessories Free "DockRunner" app same as home dock!

This has been posted before but it's too cool to not re-post. Why buy the VZW home dock when you get the exact same thing on your X (minus the hardware and HDMI jack) by installing the free "DockRunner" app from the market? It even lets you have your your original home screen and all other screens in landscape mode. It toggles back and forth between the dock and your other home screen. Simple to use. Looks great too!

You can also access the Dock if you have Better Cut installed.

I find closing the app rather difficult. Only way to completely close it out is to restart phone.

Since I have Advanced Task Killer app, I just "kill" it when I don't need it. To me that's a minor inconvenience compared to wrestling it out of that tight fitting dock. Not to mention saving a few bucks.

It's supposed to, but that doesn't work. A magnet against the back of the phone will turn it off though...

For me the home dock is nice because of how easy it is. Drop it in and there you go. I don't really want to launch something every time, then kill it when I'm done. I'll probably make my own dock and just put a magnet in it once I find where it needs to go on the X.

it has a simple exit button to return to your original home screen...suggest you simply try it out, of you don't like it, just uninstall it...

Isn't the whole reason to buy the Verizon Home Dock for the hardware? If you are buying it just for the app, then that is pretty dumb.

You are trying to compare Apples to Shopping Carts. You have two totally different uses here.

Worked perfect on the Droid, I used it all the time. It has bugs and doesn't close on the X. I just downloaded a simple clock app instead.
