Root Fresh evo 3.0

I rather wait until someone sends me the link to the release. I'm not paying just to test it out. I'm glad we still have devs that don't do this crap and just link to the file and just have an option to donate.

So you buy a $200 phone but can't be bothered to kick back $5 or $10 to the guys (and gals) who take up a lot of hours to make these for us?

I would suggest that your POV is unnecessarily harsh. Flipz doesn't require anyone to donate to test his ROMs for him; he does not require donations at all. For no other reason but good will, he creates, tests, supports, and updates ROMs for the rest of us. He makes kernals, radios, tutorials, tips and other goodies available from a single source. He maintains a website with links to his work, tips, advice, and support, at his own expense, yet free of charge for us.

He puts a heck of a lot of his own time, effort and money into all that, and he appreciates it when some of us see fit to throw him a bone once in awhile. In return, he makes betas available to his donators a day or two ahead of the masses. If they want to try them out and contribute bug reports, great. If not, that's fine too.

Posting the link here ahead of official release isn't helping him any, because he knows it's probably not ready for prime time, and he gets inundated with extra traffic. If you don't want to donate, no problem, a little patience will most likely get you a more polished ROM once it's released. But please don't call the process "crap", because it's anything but. The man is doing us all a favor, please cut him a break.

well then you will wait, just like how you'll wait for every other dev's when they release their RC's...and you'll be boo hoo'ing again when you're denied another beta releAse.

one time donation and youre grandfathered in as Flipz personal beta-testers ...

fresh-tester!

Well it has to be tested, I couldn't imagine just releasing it before it has been tested by anyone and trying to sort through the mega threads full of walls of text complaining like you do.

He still makes it an option to donate, he does release his RoMs, he just gives it to doners as soon as he finishes it to try and test it...after that he releases it to everyone....including ungrateful crybabies like you.

I've donated to get the Fresh and Damage Control betas and I'd do it again. If you don't want to pay, then don't.

With that, I'm unsubscribing. Obviously, this is not a technical discussion thread.

I installed the beta fresh but the wireless tether isnt working for me. I can start the wireless tether but my laptop cant see the ssid (AndroidTether). I have tried changing the ssid and have tried searching for the network on two different laptops. Can someone try to see if theirs is working?

Same here

To answer a few re-occurring questions:

Wifi tether technically doesn't work on froyo, it's made for eclair. So while it does turn on and appear to work, it actually doesn't. Hopefully it

It's not necessarily a 2.2 problem as wifi tether works great on CM6. I think its a froyo/sense problem that maybe Sprint has blocked or something. No other froyo sense roms have the WiFi tether app working. You can get it to broadcast a signal by uninstalling the app and installing the one on the market but my laptop still can't get an ip address. Connects to phone but not internet.

it's not sense it's that all the other 2.2 roms use stock Kernels

i swap to the fps fix kernel it broke my camera but my tether and wireless tether worked fine

so i went back to fresh 1.0.1 until a better kernel is made

man, I wanna try this one out. I was with fresh from .2 to 1.0.1. I had 1.0.1 running beautifully with no issues to speak of. then decided to try out CM6 Froyo RC1 and now I dunno if I wanna go back to sense! im torn lol

Running the new Fresh beta 3.0 with the new patch do i still need to do the radio and wimax or is it in the patch? Also the music & voicemaill apps keep starting on there own is it a way to turn them off till needed? t/u:cool:
