Froyo 2.2 OTA is just around the corner

How does one post some information from tomorrow? Ok, yes I know that could be in Australia or something, but why would anyone there be following a phone that's only available in the US? Or more importatnly, have access to any sort of knowledge about the release date if they are in Taiwan or something.
Something is a little fishy here, and that same webpage is the one that everyone else has already seen. Let's face it, we all know Froyo is around the corner, just don't know if that corner is a few days or a few weeks. This has done nothing to change that perception.
I'm fine waiting for the OTA update, but it would be nice if they dropped a definitive date, but I guess that's not the norm.

I don't know which is worse, the fact that i check multiple times a day for the OTA or the fact that VZW still hasn't released it.

Aren't we past "early september" now? Its the 16th.
I did the leaked first 2.2, but saw more issues with that then 2.1 update 1, so I rolled back, in anticipation of the final OTA, but my GOD its taking forever! I did et spoiled haveing flash, and the new google voice search.. I want it back!
Isn't gingerbread like 30 days out now as well?

it was never "early September" that was a rumor startd on some site. It was and still is "late summer'.....Summer ends 9/22.

Yeah it really sucks that they are pushing it to the last minute and may not even make it out by the 22nd, but technically they aren't late yet. To quote Jeremy Clarkson "How hard can it be?"
I'm running the leak and it has yet to freeze. Mines not lagging in any way either.
Those were the update install instructions that VZW put out for the "2.1 update 1". Now I'm sure they will be exactly the same for the 2.2 froyo....
I remain, Patiently/Impatiently waiting for the release of Android 2.2 for the Droid X!

it will be here on 9/20.
there is an adobe/moto press conference today where flash will be discussed. my bet is that they will talk about froyo and say available 9/20 for DX

most likely correct. it is not a huge change but it does bring about many small bug fixes and some larger improvements and addedd features (flash). no it wont "change" any ones life, but for some, it will make their life easier.
you obviously cared enough to log onto this forum and click on this thread and then feel like adding your comments.

IM WITH YOU.......summer ended a few weeks ago.
but nevertheless, moto still has 6 days before they are "officially" late

I haven't had any problems with my 2.2 leak. Only when I had Launcher Pro, and or Angry Birds did I have any freeze ups, or reboots.
