Now back to the reason I checked back in to this topic. I have an inside source who is right maybe 70% of the time. Good enough for me! She says verbatim (almost) "we didn't want sales of the Droid 2 to be diminished by the X, so the 2 (Droid), was purposely released far enough in advance to achieve its sales goals for the quarter, which ends in September, or when sales of either device diminishes, which ever comes first."

Google didn't like this, so they leaked it in advance, so Motorola rebutted with warnings not to install any unofficial versions.

Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but it appears Verizon has updated the 'Benefits of Software Upgrade' PDF for Froyo.

Just as we said yesterday, the Droid X 2.2 update will be released tomorrow to the masses. The update will become available at 12:00PM EST giving any user with a DX the opportunity to
