How about you start a new thread with your announcement message to keep this separate from Froyo?

By the way, you mention waiting for proprietary libraries. Does that include camera? That's the only thing keeping me from taking the plunge.

Unfortunately, No. Due to the changes lg has made to camera I cannot currently build a working camera in any open source build as it has symbols that dont link and break the build. Xliff has been working on it to. So far all attempts and work arounds have been unsuccessful. I've even built libcamera from source to no avail. Its not so simple as placing the camera stuff in rom it has to be linked across critical components of android in the build process.

Wow, once again man, killer job. Should be awesome now that lg released froyo. We can get a correct froyo kernel in there too.

First off, u are awesome, great work, its awesoem to see something like that, awesome, but.......I seen in one of the photos you posted that your menu had a cynogenmod setting, what is that about?

He said in the post with the screenshot that it's cm7. cm7 = cyanogenmod 7 which runs 2.3

I have other projects I work on too. The past 2 weeks I also built a kernel for the dinc. Built a recovery, oc kernel, and a booting aosp build for Optimus M. I also have been doing some work with trident too.
