Froyo on Hero!

i'm not really sure what to tell you. google owns me. heck i even have my work outlook sync to my google calendar because i can't use exchange at my work on a personal phone anyways. at this point, i'd be happy if google just never has an issue and i keep all my info in their sinister hands for the rest of my life. i do export my contacts to my sd card that i do backup to my laptop.
 
Anyone try chrome to phone yet or voice search yet? Popped up in my market a little bit ago. I get the idea of voice search but I have not looked into chrome to phone. Just curious!
 
it works on the current build.
you need to dl the extension in chrome and u get an icon in ur browser u click to send the current link ur on from your comp to your phone. it's like a text that u click to open. kinda handy but not amazing.
 
I've been running 812 since last night and my phone is blazing fast! I have enabled jit and have had no problems. I have had 2 issues though and the first is minor. When I update or download in the market, everything downloads and then installs perfectly, no troubles. After it installs, I get a FC on the market. I FC and nothing happens, so I guess thats why I say this one is minor. The other, I believe is major, I have no idea whats going on but when I try to get linpack score (right around 4.8-4.9), then I try again, my phone slows down to a crawl. I reboot and then everything is good, weird!!! Is this happening to anyone else? For now, no more linpack scores! But really, who gives a damn what my linpack score but curious about my benchmark!

I'm glad that the barcode scanner app works. I dunno what I'd do without QR codes :p.
 
Just got 813. I'm new to this so can anyone tell me if you can change the notification light? It's weird. It starts red and then flashes green. I just want a flashing light.

I think that is Darchstars touch. That's how the LED flashed on Darchdroid also. I'm not sure if there is a way to change it.

If you have TB, go into backup/restore and uninstall old voice search. Reboot phone, go into market and download new voice search

I just flashed the 8/13 update along with google shits and the new voice search was already on there. I just long pressed the search button and it was there.
 
tried 814, missing so many features... plus it only gave me the option to setup an exchange account. Anyone got the market/google account working on this Froyo build? And I know its all a work in progress so I didnt expect a complete package. But as a side note it ran very well and I liked all the goodies I saw in settings.
 
Must of had a bad flash on 814, wiped everything and flashed 815. Everything good again, beware of lockup in camera though had to pull battery, everything was frozen!!
 
Are you guys wiping everytime you install a new nightly update? I'm using titan backup but even that seems like a pain to restore apps everyday.

Must wipe cache and davlik cache;)
I did not wipe data from 810 to 812 to 813, must of had a bad flash on 814. I wiped everything before I flashed 815, everything running great!!
 
These nightly updates are nice and all but when can we expect a solid Froyo build off of this ROM? it looks so promising just wanna know if we have a date when this is no longer "beta" per say.

The only 2 problems I have found was the camera: after I take a picture, jump over to gallery and then back to camera, it freezes. The other is, FC in the market, just after an application installs. Nothing happens, so no big deal, but annoying. Pretty close to a final, I would think

I found that what happened is that I use an older version of the gapps rom to install google and the newer versions of Gapps roms is the one that comes with the new google voice.
